What guitars are you out there playing? I got an epiphone ej 200 electro acoustic about two years ago and although I love it I'm for a new one for about the £1000 price range..any suggestions would be appreciated, probably going for acoustic but could be tempted by an electric.

That looks minted mate, yeah really recommend the epiphone, especially if you put elixir strings on it, think it's one of the best acoustics for under a grand, normally bout the 300 mark but got mine in a sale for £250. Really wanting a Gibson after having a shot but the price is steep!

I've (had) an epiphone guitar but left it at my ex's house and keep chinning her about it saying I want it back.

I quizzed my 5 year old and she says it's broken, asked her what happened to it and she says she doesn't know.... lying little cunto.

Really wish I had the time to get back in to it.

Heard good things about the 63, meant to be decent even without an amp

I have a black 50's style Fender (Japanese) Strat, Tokai LS150 Les Paul and an Epiphone Casino in natural.
I also have an Epiphone EJ 100 acoustic. I don't play acoustic very often so something cheap and cheerful is all i needed.

Really only play the Casino these days. Sounds like nothing else out there.

I have a lovely Martin Acoustic but it's at my dad's house back home as I'm living in a hostel in a different city for a while.

Also have an Ibanez something-or-other which I'm going to sell for about 400.

I have a LAG acoustic which I haven't seen in a long time as it's been living at a mates house. And I know it's not a guitar but I have a cool 4 string banjo I bought to play Irish music.

BC Rick Warlock, Mick Thomson signature series and an Epiphone Les Paul Studio. These are my two favourites. Got a bass, two violins, a keyboard and a couple of acoustics too.

I prefer the neck on the BC Rich but the sound on the LP is richer. Depends what I'm wanting to play. I spent years wanting a Telecaster but they're horrible to play. I'd love to get a Jaguar but not sure how they play.

Ah can't mind the model, was just a cheap one to start learning with.

Maybe I'll have a look on gumtree see if I can pick another one up.

Martin DX1SAE Custom Sapele Edition II is my current guitar of choice...love it!

Also have a Tanglewood TW115 SS CE, which is a nice guitar and a cheap Fender DG-3 which was my first guitar....£30 at a car boot. Plays OK, but can sound a little flat....needs good strings and set up properly before it starts to sound anywhere half decent. Still, its a good guitar for practicing - I also take it on nights out with my work if we are staying over...they love a sing-song!!!

Make sure you sit with the guitar and play it for a while. Check the neck fits your hand and the strings aren't too high off the fretboard. Never buy a guitar because it is cheap or available. Only buy a guitar that makes you want to play it.
Biggest mistake most people learning guitar make is buying one that is horrible to play so they give up.
You can get decent playing guitars for next to nothing used - it's all about the feel.

Nah they are *. Anybody i know who buys one of these things sells them as they can't get a decent sound out of them.
Your better off buying individual pedals for the sound you want.

I have a Vox Wah pedal, Ibanez TS9, Boss CS-2 and a Dr Tone DLY101 (i think) delay pedal.
    All through a Marshall AVT50.
All of that lot apart from the delay pedal were used and i paid the most for the Tube Screamer at £40.
