A solid back up. We do need better but he’s decent

 

1 good game then 3 below average some would say but an easy target for some.

he isn’t a lwb but gives his all

 

Has become a target for sexually frustrated social media gimps. The reality is he has his flaws but overall he is good player.

 

I disagree with that I am sexualy frustrated but I don't think he is a good player at best he is average

 

He could do with a hand, played a lot and needs competition/rested..

Think we may still add two on that side. Doughty and a loan. (hopefully )

 

We just need someone to do on the left what Jerry is doing on the right.
I feel that Taylor is way too isolated att times, leaving him with no option but to turn back.
Must say, I have seen an improvement in the last 2 games.

 

Tbh I think it's unrealistic to expect another Jerry. I can't remember us having a FB like Jerry before now. To expect 2 at the same time is maybe asking for too much. Taylor has his own attributes - works hard, good defensively/positionally, overlaps well and can deliver a good ball into the box.

 

He played well yesterday but to be honest as much as I don't think he's Celtic class he'll do a job in a back 4. He doesn't have the ability to play as a wing back bcoz he's not got the pace or ability to beat his man regularly.

 

I know short burst sprints are different to medium distance runs, but over lockdown he ran 5km in 17 minutes, so he's definitely not slow. I'd like to at least see him try to beat a man now and again. I like him and think that the main thing he needs to work on is putting in consistent deliveries into the box. There's been a few times this season he'* crosses without even looking up to see where he's putting it and that's frustrating.

 

I guess you and I have different expectations levels

Was very good defensively tonight particularly in that final period but as willing as he is in attack we could really do with someone who can take the ball to the byline and stretch the opposition full back. His lack of pace really hinders our attacking play for me.

As I say not through any fault of his own as he works very hard he just is not naturally quick or has that bit of guile to go past someone or make half a yard when faced up.

 

I think I must have been watching another game I thought he was * killed every attack almost

 

Second half he was excellent... he had very little options when he was up the park, very static in front of him but he got stuck in when needed.. again it has to be said he is not a wing back but did everything he was asked of tonight..

 

The only better player we could even have (had) has been sold last season.
