    He was bullied at times yesterday and didn’t look comfortable against Woolery’s pace and strength. He is probably the best option we have their just now but it’s a glaring weakness in the first 11 when all players are fit.

    The difference is that Ralston always had the raw abilities to mould, i.e. he’s quick, strong, mobile, aggressive, brave, good in the air, etc. Taylor has absolutely none of those qualities.

    Ange seems to rate him, but I’d much rather give Scales a run to see what he’s made of and if that doesn’t work out then we absolutely must sign a new left back.

    Was solid going both way's, letting shots go and linking up well with Mikey. Getting good crosses in. Coming centrally well. Defending spot on..

    I still find it very hard to take to him.

    I think he's still our weak link. Misses a yard or so of pace, for me, too and really needs to start contributing more assists.

    For me having Taylor and Scales at left back is fine as long as they are back ups. Scales also gives cover at center back which is good but no question in my mind we still need a new left back at the level of Juranovic.

    Ange seems to like him because he 'fits' his system.

    My issue is that there is probably about 50 other left backs in the world that can fit this system, whilst being considerably better in every other department.

    Fully agree.

    Ideally with some pace and power. I just feel any decent winger worth anything will have a field day against Taylor. One good game against Boyle when he went missing wont convince me otherwise.

    I also feel that Taylor is a liability at the back post area on set pieces as he is so small.
