It amazes me how other people can't see this.

The guy gives his all, but he s small, slow no physicality, rarely wins a tackle , good at getting down the left flank but more often than not his final ball doesn’t clear the first defender, Ralston has did well and would be a good back up RB , for games v bottom 6 opposition at home but Taylor in my opinion anyway isn’t even good enough as a back up LB

Thought he did a power of work today. I was also having some difficulty telling him and Kyogo apart so that might contribute to some of my positive assessment too though :39:

Works hard, keeps it simple, honest shift, yadda yadda but nowhere near good enough. Kills so many attacks with his lack of pace and when he gets into good positions rarely picks anyone out. Nothing against him but we need better. ,

The bar is so low with him, doing the bare minimum is seen as good.

The reality is he's nowhere near the level to be starting in a Celtic team that has aspirations of winning titles and cups.

    Same with Ralston.

As soon as we're up against it, these types of players are weak links.

The weak link today was by far Starfelt.

I thought Taylor done alright today tbh, but the problem is he just unbelievably slow, it's a shame to as you can see him slowly adapting to the system.

He'll still be a useful backup this season but Ralston looks streets ahead of him.

Uh huh.. What about actually being able to win the ball back and stop attacks? You know? His primary job?

He does that quite a lot as well but he’s key to the way we play just now. Probably the reason we haven’t really being linked to any left backs.

Ange seems happy with him. It’ll be Taylor for the season at least.

Also, our fullbacks are more utility forward thinking players than primarily defenders in this formation, doesn’t look like the primary concern for Ange is for them to stay back and defend.

I'm not making the case for Starfelt though. He was awful.

But that doesn't mean Taylor is Celtic class.

Would you be happy with Taylor as our first choice LB for the rest of the season?

Wouldn’t mind it to be honest mate. Wouldn’t mind him being replaced as well.

He’s utter pish, folk are having a laugh if they think he is Celtic class. I haven’t met a soul in the stadium who thinks otherwise.

Culpable in both goals we conceded.

Slow, weak, terrible crosser, simply not good enough.

Like him, want him to do well and he's doing a better than decent job right now but longer term his physical attributes are always going to hold him back.

There is plenty of small full backs playing at a high level out there, there is plenty of slow full backs playing at a high level out there and there is plenty of weak fullbacks playing at a high level out there. But there's no small, slow, weak fullbacks playing at a high level out there.

If he isn't trying to bulk up and/or find a couple yards of acceleration in the gym right now then he should be.

How many attacks broke down because of Taylor miscontrolling or misplacing a pass. We'll be a different side when we get a full back comfortable with the ball at his feet.

I'm not convinced Scales is the answer either. Once Juranovic is in confirmed, LB is the new priority.

Lost count the amount of times he passed the ball straight to them. Was woeful
