    Kilmarnock isn't one of the best teams of Scotland. It is a crap team that had a good period due to an excellent manager and has returned to normal since the guy left. Finishing third once doesn't mean they are one of the best teams of Scotland.

    131 apps for a * team out of the lack of alternative means little. The reason he has 130 apps is he couldn't move the * out of Kilmarnock earlier, and teams that aren't us or the huns often miss their most promising players to the likes of English League 1. There must be a reason that the only other teams that showed interest on him were a bottom table Bundesliga 2 side and Sunderland, offering respectively 500k and 750k. 21 years old is a lot in today's football, guys like Edouard, Tierney aren't much older than that, and all he has got of good in football was an unmerited call up to the national team from his pal, and a career threatening tackle on Barton.

    He's not THE ideal target, that much is clear. We obviously prefer him to Meling and anyone else being mentioned currently though.

    Tbf they’re not a great team but one of their biggest strengths was that they defended well and knew how to set up stall you need decent defender s to do that

    I disagree with a lot of this, but perhaps that's because I'm looking at his signing as a glass half full situation, rather than perhaps your half empty outlook.

    For one the fact Kilmarnock aren't a great team (or * as you said) to me then makes him seem a more positive signing if anything. Standing out in a team of mediocrity and performing to a level that gets him Scotland caps and looking decent against much better teams such as ourselves only elevates him if anything?

    Regarding "21 being a lot in today's football", I'd have to disagree again. A player often reaches his peak at 26/27 so he's got loads of time to develop to reach his optimum level. Perfect example of this is James Forrest himself!
