They know theres a bit of pressure for us to get a left back and they know we have money in the bank.
Again another SPL team are playing hardball with us because we are so inept snd leave everything so late.

He probably did... but Lawell was a pre-* swimmer that * over all the other swimmers and built a heated driveway on his da's tip as a * launch pad.

Killie will play hardball and that’s fair enough we done it with Tierney.

Still feel we could have got more for KT but that’s water under bridge now.

Greg Taylor has done nothing for me to suggest he is a £3m left back.

According to reports in Germany when the German team bid for him he was valued around £1.2m - £1.5m.

This could come down to the player “wanting to explore his options” which seems to be the new term for the good old fashioned “transfer request”.

With Celtic I have come to accept what will be will be I have spent the whole * summer moaning about finance, transfers, lack of direction.

What ever happens, happens. Thursday and Sunday are the acid tests!

But there is one thing the papers in Scotland have proven.

They don’t have a * clue what Celtic are doing.

    Examples last Sunday 18th August

Herald - Celtic will sign Melling
Record - Celtic end interest in Melling
    Sun - quotes the record.

    Last Tuesday 20th August

Record - Melling being watch against Zagreb

    Last night

Sun - Melling interest ended going to pursue Taylor

Record - Taylor interest ended going to pursue Melling

Either their is nothing going on or we are doing very well to plug leaks and spin some yarns!

I thought you were being a bit too optimistic there, so I altered it to a more realistic level for you.

Just get him signed ffs. A solid LB at a snip (when compared to the KT money). No need for * about here.

But you can’t compare him to KT or the value of KT.

KT has done it all! this kid has done * all!

What I mean is, haggling over 3m when we've just received 25m is ridiculous.

Tbh believe they would sell elsewhere for £1.5m but asking for £3m from us so screw them

I don't remember any of the papers reporting on us lining up Boli Mbombo or Elhamed either until the deal was done. They haven't a notion what we're doing.

    No it isn’t.

Player is only valued at what the buying team will pay. I don’t care if we got £100m for KT you have a limit you won’t go above and that’s £1.5m for us!

This. All the main rags up here have different stories of what is going on, the Sun’s twitter had him signed two days ago.

Actual (PL) - “Just keep up the ‘working hard behind the scenes’ stuff at the pressers Neil.”

Is Killie really in a position to reject a bid of a million pounds though ? playing hardball that's all it is, i have a feeling they will crumble and take the offer we will more than likely put back in before the end of the window. Id be surprised if we went close to 3 million for him.

It sets a bad precedent if you do that. Any time we go in for a player from the SPFL the clubs will be saying to themselves well Motherwell and Killie said £3m and Celtic just agreed to pay it, so our player will be £3m to them as well, even though we know he's only really worth £1m.

    It's not ridiculous at all.

Kieran Tierney was worth 25m, if not more and Arsenal haggled with us for almost 6 weeks over the difference of a few million.

Greg Taylor is not worth 3m and we will haggle until we reach a price which we believe is fair.

There have been times, however, in the past where we haggled rather than just paying what a player is worth, John McGinn for example. Even without hindsight, a lot of fans on here knew 4.4m was a fair price and were frustrated because we knew we had money in the bank

However, Greg Taylor is not John McGinn and he is not worth 3m.
