I liked his answer. It’s a different challenge at Celtic and that’s all I seen him say.

His response was fine. The other clubs do just park the bus, most of the time anyway. He didn't bad mouth the club, he bad mouthed the league which we do all the time

Nothing wrong with what he said. He doesn’t even “trash” it. Tells the truth.

Last night was a prime example. Albeit going down to 10 didn't help them.

But st mirren played well, pressed us and still lost 5-1.

They're one of the better sides in the league this year too, if anyone else tried that they'd have lost by that Margin or more with 11 men.

Other sides just don't have the players to do it. It's like us doing it against Real or Man City...it might work for 45 mins but most of the time we will end up losing and in some cases losing bad as the gap is too big.

One of the major problems with the league is that when the smaller teams do get a decent squad together, all the big boys (including us and blue tarts) just come in and strip those teams of their best players so they can never build. Maybe we need something like the NFL draft where the smaller teams get access to the best new talent or something??? The most competitive league in the UK is probably the English championship although that's slowly becoming an EPL2.

Giorgos Giakoumakis has still not been able to even TRAIN with his new Atlanta United teammates amid issues with red tape.

The Greek international striker, 28, sealed his move from Celtic to the MLS side earlier this month after spending the last 18 months with the Parkhead club. During that time, he enjoyed some great form in front of goal and played his part in the Hoops' Premiership title triump and League Cup victory last season. He also scored the goal that sealed Celtic's place in this season's Viaplay Cup final as well

However, after struggling to break into the starting line-up ahead of Kyogo Furuhashithis season, as well as failing to come to terms over a new contract, it became clear that Giakoumakis would leave Celtic during the January transfer window. He played his final game for the Hoops in last month's Viaplay Cup semi-final win over Kilmarnock and ultimately signed for Atlanta United earlier this month.

But it has now been revealed that he hasn't even able to train with his new teammates yet while he awaits for his work visa to be fully approved by the US authorities.

Atlanta United are set to take on Toluca in a friendly later tonight but the striker is now going to have to wait to make his debut.

However, the club's boss, Gonzalo Pineda, is only focusing on what Giakoumakis can bring the team as he looks forward to finally working with him.

The manager told The Atlanta Journal: "You can see immediately that he’s a guy that is passionate about scoring goals.

And what I like about him is he’s always on the move, looking for gaps. And once he’s inside the 18, he has those double movements that I really like.

"So, he’s always pressuring, he goes to the near post, he goes to the far post, he’s going to the near post, he drops in and stays compact

And then another one is probably a different look, but he’s a big, big target guy. So he can give us a couple more variances in our attacking shape.

"And maybe at times, when teams try to pin us back and put pressure on us, maybe we can play the ball to him, he shields the ball, waits for the supporting runs, and then we start progression from there.

So he can give us a little bit of that as well."

Nothing wrong with what he said about the league.
The financial gulf creates a huge imbalance.
The only way it will change is through improved tv deals and sponsorship that will allow clubs to invest and grow.
Id like to see a day where both us and them across the city distribute wealth from European competition, etc but it will never happen.

He was some striker for us.

We’ve been crying out for a physical striker like him since Vennegoor of Hesselink left.

Let’s hope Oh is a capable replacement.

Tbf hardly happens.L now especially if team hits 3rd as they can afford to knock back a 2-3 million bid which then prices us out the problem is they sell to English or player doesn’t sign new contract with year to six months and a championship club gets a bargain

Just had a debut goal ruled out for offside. Really tight though and thought it was on.

I feel that we are a weaker side for having sold him. What he brought to the team, hasnt been replaced.

On the surface this might be true. He was a good option to have. But we know that Ange is distilling a certain culture. We don't know to what extent GG's departure was to serve that aim. A prima Donna without much more room for improvement who is fond of cryptic IG posts. Ange decided we could do without him and we've yet to find ourselves in a situation on the pitch where we thought "wish we had GG for this"

Regardless of his attitude, we have taken 10 goals and some physicality out the team and not replaced.

Ohs scored 2 now and is at least as physical as Giakoumakis but looks, so far, a step up with the ball at his feet.

Where do you get the number 10 for goals?

I dont think he is. Its my opinion. GG for me was a lot stronger and physical. Id love for it to be the case with Oh but at the moment i dont see it, but ill give him time to settle/adjust.

Its not really an unrealistic prediction. He got 13 in his first season and had 6 before he left with all the speculation that was going on and how increasingly sparingly he was being used.
