If he stays then needs to score more often.
If he wants to go then punt him in January

He also needs to be played constantly to be scoring the goals we all know he can get. Unfortunately its not the system we currently play where thats going to happen.

Love the big guy, but if he wants out, cash out immediately, make the big profit, and bring in someone of better quality but also young enough to improve and have sell-on value. He is certainly not irreplaceable but will turn out to be a good piece of business when we sell him on for 4x what we paid for him.

Exactly what I was saying earlier in the thread...perfectly normal for negotiations to take time to get over the line.

Hopefully get them both signed before January 1st before big bad Peter storms in and punches * out the agents, shites on their heads and wipes his * with the contracts.

Think Juranovic is more likely to leave. But wouldn't be surprised to see both away by next season.

Would rather keep GG. He's the kinda striker we haven't had for years and 25 goals in 41 games with only 23 being starts is frightening.

He's done very well for us in my opinion, should have started more. Soon as there's a wee bit paper talk there's folk saying we can do better, not bothered if we lose him etc, like it's a scoosh to get someone in who'll replicate those kinds of figures.

Unbelievable stats tbh. He definitely should have started more games for us. However, we probably need better for the CL and I include Kyogo in that too. If we can upgrade on either of them with someone else I wouldn't be sad to see one of them go.

Going to be very difficult for us to get a CL level striker. Those don't exist for us, we need to try and make one.

Both of them have only had one go at it. I believe Giakoumakis could do it if given another chance.

I trust ange regardless. Another striker definitely needed even if both stay.

that's my take also, journos with too much time on their hands, doing * logic to sell stories. Celtic are offering him a new deal(non compulsory) so must mean he's unhappy with the one he's got - via all the rags of the day in Scotland.

IMHO all this talk about Giako wanting out coming at the same time with the love fest for Beale is no coincidence. It was all about trying to create discord at Celtic while pretending it is all sweetness and light over at eyebrokes.

I do think there may be something in it, to be honest. His age profile and our strong links to Gue-sung. Could see us taking a big bid for him, spending 1/3 of it on a younger replacement, like we are likely doing with Juranovic.

That said, I love him and want him to stay.

I think this too, I could see a team perhaps struggling in the EPL for goals taking a punt on him based on his stats alone. Or perhaps an upper mid table team in the likes of Germany or France that are looking for a big striker.

I would be gutted if he left, but this is how we operate, and if we want to get stronger we need to get more clinical strikers in. But i think that if he got more starts, he could get much more clinical than what he currently is.

Yeah he is still scoring adequately. I think his scoring record this year looks worse due to Champions League, his record domestic is 7 in 15 compared to last season's 17 in 24, not as good but he isn't starting much at the moment. I don't think you can ask much more from a second choice striker.
