I'd rather we hired other coaches. You don't just buy one coach you buy more incase there are issues and these vehicles do have issues after a few years. You also have to buy a new one regularly whereas a hire company will likely provide new ones. Then you need a driver(s). The person who drives our team bus will do other bus journeys during the week that are non-celtic. You'd still have to pay them a similar salary.

Doigs of Glasgow is a big coach company. If it's so prestigious and beneficial to have us running about in your branded coach go to them and ask, I'm sure they'd like to get one over on a competitor as well.

The parks drivers also work all week (not just driving the team)
If we have our own bus then they’ll only work when we are playing

Disagree. We are advertising the services of the Chairman of our bitter rivals every single match day.

If you want to see trivial have a look at the electrical tape covering ‘Cinch’ when wee Gio is being interviewed after a game…

In the bigger picture yes, but why not approach other companies to provide the same service.

I agree, why are we advertising the name of one of our rivals sponsors etc.

Why do you think, if its indeed true, they are doing it FOC:?

Im sure others for the cudois would also do it FoC

Apart from free advertising, supplying to both sides does probably reduce the risk of the buses getting tanned by nutcase fans. Honestly if we invested in our own top class coaches, Celtic livery all over them, how often would they get vandalised by the unhinged and we'd need to hire other coaches for cover anyway? Remember there are mutants out there that smash street lights and subway signs for being too green.

I do think we could be looking at another company that's not run by some slug *, but if we're getting them for free and it's been running smoothly for years I can see why it's not really an issue for the people in charge.

67k fate lol, and we'd own it out right, we could crowd fund it and donate it I'm sure a good Celtic man would volunteer to drive, we could park it in Ralston's drive way and he could watch it at night, * he could even carry it to games

Seemingly we get it for free as Parks use it as a form of PR and free marketing - in reality it is more of a conflict of interest that WE use Parks, than the huns argued they had one with Cinch due to Parks.

Either way, I would personally always rather never use anything that in any way benefits or comes from that scum lot, ever.

Rather spend more money on our own bus/hire a company, than let those mutant * benefit from us.

We need our own hydrogden or green friendly electric bus.

A green bus for a green team.

If we get fat arses cos it's free and upside for the fat * is advertising then surely another coach company may see it advantageous to be driving us around and getting all the perks to their business? Surely a similar company could offer us some deal as lard *?

Happy to take a club statement on their relationship with Parks just to tide me over for official transfer statements.

I'm * itching for something Celtic.

And I've already been to the Dr and they ruled out fleas and crabs.

Our bus and supporters buses are going to be forced to change to. Carbon friendly, electric powered buses like the new McGills Paisley buses. That don't emit diesel. Otherwise they can't drive into Glasgow City centre.

Celtic football club should help subsidise supporters clubs in changing to electric buses.

The club has the money to help the supporters clubs buy new buses.

2024. Glasgow City Council has voted to ban cars and diesel vehicles older than 2015 registration from entering 200 City centre streets. An ill thought out green policy that does not include increased public transport infrastructure to help change commuting habits.

    https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.glasgowtimes.co.uk/news/19986549.amp/

https://www.glasgow.gov.uk/23026 here is a map of the low emission zone.

Its also means Celtic supporters clubs will need new buses to get to the games or face a £60 fine for driving on the low emission zone roads.

Money supporters clubs don't have. Tens of thousands of pounds to fund new buses.

Celtic football club can and should help with the costs.

Celtic football club can help with the costs by subsidising supporters clubs.

Celtic will also need a new a green bus.

That's my political related bus post, that will affect Celtic fans in the years ahead.
