Schalke as well. Bayern are looking more vulnerable at the back than they normally do though, so that could be something that hinders them against Dortmund, Schalke, and the top CL sides.

I see Bayern are playing 4-1-4-1, not like the usual Pep 4-3-3. Strange.

Think it's more of a less defensive 4-2-3-1 with Kroos advanced from Schweinsteiger instead of having Gustavo beside him. The front four of

    Robben---Mueller-----Ribery
    ------Mandzukic-----------

is unchanged. The difference is how the two in the center are playing. I think that's why they're looking more defensively vulnerable.

    Ribery has been unreal.

    2-1, Dante OG.

Yeah, I just saw the lineups on a live scores website and it was 4-1-4-1, can't watch the match due to no BT Sport on Virgin :47:

FirstRow has a lot of links if you guys are interested. BM have been very vulnerable to counterattacks in transition. Knowing how the Bundesliga plays that might spell trouble until they can figure it out. 2-1 is a fair score at HT.

Wasn't deliberate. Not unusual for Bayern to get the decision though.

Ouuuffffff, never seen this. Hand ball, penalty to Munich. Ter Stegen saves. Right after on the deflection there's another hand ball, another penalty.

Very harsh, but Munich are looking more mortal than usual. Good news for the rest of the Bundesliga.

Thought 3-1 was a bit harsh for BMG but Munich just had more quality when it mattered. I don't see them running away with the league quite like last year though.

Brilliant game that I thought. If both teams were a bit more clinical it could have been a high scoring game that.

I wonder if Lahm will play midfield a fair bit now, Guardiola's been experimenting with it and even did it tonight then put Rafinha RB. Interesting.

It's weird, I think he's better with the offensive aspects of midfield. Had a couple of nice passes but tended to get bypassed by not being positionally sound when BMG had the ball. The only one holding midfielder thing should result in some higher scoring games.

I think Guardiola needs to tinker a bit to involve Mandzukic and Mueller more. They hold possession for too long and that takes away their best attributes. I saw some awkward transitions where Mario would be taking the ball down the wing with Ribery and Robben going to goal. Don't know what the idea was there. Ribery was outstanding in the first half, but was kept quieter in the second. If Kruse (for BMG) made some better decisions it would have been an even better match.

Dortmund better win today. Don't want to be chasing Bayern so early in the season. Augsburg are a dead stingy team though so they might be hard to break down.
