    Its the same original source like Buta. The Turkish guy on twitter. But with Henry we were mentioned in the papers. Huns havent. But lets see, Giakoumakis has been in Bremen today. If he signs there we are back in square one.

    GIAKOUMAKIS WEIGHING BREMEN OR CELTIC MOVE

    VVV-Venlo striker Georgios Giakoumakis is weighing up a move between Celtic and Werder Bremen.

    The Dutch side are allowing the Greece international to speak directly with interested clubs and dropped their asking price to £3m, following their relegation from the Eredivisie.

    Sky Sports News understands that Giakoumakis and his agent visited Bremen last night to see the Bundesliga 2 side’s facilities and held informal discussions with the club.

    Bremen have already had a bid of £1.7m rejected by Venlo, but have not given up hope of luring the striker to Germany. Celtic have made initial contact with the player’s representatives and the club.

    Is it not concerning to some folk, that no Dutch first flight club is looking and the only other club aside from us is a second tier German club?

    His overall record is a massive concern for me and I dare say plenty of Dutch clubs can afford him if last season was anything other than a purple patch.

    Fair point but I’m sure when we signed Van Dijk we were all asking that same question.

    I actually thought someone would come first with the Vardy comparison for age.

    But yeah, players can surprise you.

    I just don't see it with this guy.

    Too much suggests he's not going to be the surprise package we would hope. I'd find it hard to believe if he was really coming in to good form, that no other Dutch club is taking a punt.

    But yeah, inclined to trust Ange for now.
    He clearly has a good vision on attacking football, so if he is personally wanting this lad, I assume he has a good plan for him.

    I doubt he is Edouard's replacement though. Reporters will just assume so. If Edouard goes, we will sign another striker. As it is pretty * clear Ange doesnt want Griffiths or Ajeti, now.
