wonder what they were booted out for. Id have thought those 2 would be more likely to get the pyjamas on and share a bottle of wine than get blootered up town.

I wonder what they did. I imagine as a footballer you have to do quite a lot to get kicked out.
Sounds like all's well as ends well anyway; but between this and his form, you have to worry a little about whether Armstrong is in a good place right now psychologically.

That GMS is becoming a bad influence on him ever since he moved away!

No one knows how this boy is. When you get statements like the fire and rescue search service having to locate him it's a wee bit worrying. Did his pals lose sight of him? The jokes on Social Media are disgusting as no one knows how serious this is yet.

The club can confirm Gary Mackay-Steven was involved in an incident in the River Kelvin on Sunday morning.

He was treated for hypothermia but is now at home and recovering well.

On behalf of Gary, the club extends its thanks to the emergency services involved.

The club will not be commenting further on the matter.

By the way, from the experience of my friend who drowned, this is nothing short of a fantastic job by the rescue services. To rescue and save someone drowning in the dark is quite hard. Specially since this is not a beach or somewhere where they expected people to be on the water, so probably there would be no lifeguards or equipment available immediately.

Jesus I know the news that Paddy is coming back is exciting but this is a bit over-the-top...:fear:

    Double pun :34:

Nah seriously, glad he's fine and I hope this was just a stupid drunken mistake.

Well done to the rescue team too - Incredible job in the dark to rescue somone.

Reading between the lines he had a ring of some sort, otherwise there's not a chance he'd have lasted over an hour in the water.

I think the developing part of the story will end up being why he jumped the fence and why him and Armstrong got kicked out. I've been told he was getting chased...

Now that we know he's safe, I can state the obvious: tells you everything you need to know about the Glasgow climate that you can get hypothermia in August. :56:

I went to school with a boy who drowned in the Forth and Clyde canal after a night out in town.

It's a scary thought of how quickly a life can be lost.

Hope GMS is ok whatever the circumstances were and that he is back playing football again soon.

Back in my day, it was a good night if you ended up with a traffic cone.

Well done to Glasgows rescue team and shows what a job they do. Just hope wee GMS gets better and shows the skills we know he has.
