I went to put some fuel in the car £1.81 for diesel that was an increase from last week of 6 pence a litre.
Just as well i dont go far any more .
What prices have you found when you are filling up ?, which fuel stations are the dearest now ?

Taxi drivers will be having a field day, adding extra to their fares ,,,,, its the fuel now its dearer,,,,,:36:

It’s a * sham and a kick in the face to anyone that 100% needs a car to work. Driving up the fuel prices while keeping the wages at a low growth as possible

Costs a grand to fill the tank of one of the trucks and £300 a week in the jeep to get to work.

Luckily I don't pay for either

Edit: this is in Scandinavia but the prices are shocking all over the shop

The wholesale petrol price (although not a perfect benchmark) is down by about 12 pence since last week, yet that saving doesn’t get passed on to the consumer.

Much like with energy costs in general there’s blatant profiteering going on.

There's always lag time. The garage will have bought 3000litres at a set price. If prices don't drop in a couple weeks from news like that, then your right. Defo profiteering.

Does anyone believe that things will get back to normal when the war in Ukraine finally ends and prices will revert back tp pre war prices?

They were putting them up before they bought it all at the higher price though. We get shafted left, right and centre in this country.

Not to mention they brought in the new fuel which is way less mpg. Quite convenient they get that rolled out just before a price hike, absolutely * all to do with saving the environment.

No chance they will never go back to the prices they had been at when prices have increased as much as they have & folk are profiting as much as they are you can wave goodbye to the 30/40p Drop as the most the drop will be like 5/10p per Litre.

E10 doesn't make much difference to fuel economy. Some people are claiming big losses, but they can't be comparing directly. E10 was always coming in for the environment. It's not good for cars.

The premium fuels are still E5.

The price of petrol shouldn't be as high as is it. The price of oil has been higher and the prices not what we are paying now. It does feel like companies are all trying to recover lost money from CV19.

Nope, not one fukin chance,,,, it will be back to the 30s , the 1830s horse and cart to deliver your shopping from Tesco,,Asda and the rest of the supermarkets. The takeaways will be delivering with extra charges. Deliveroo and Uber will be making a fukin fortune.
Amazon , Hermes and the rest of them will be charging more.

Depends on the car though. Mine is and has been running smoothly for years and the second the fuel changed over to e10 Ive been getting about 4mpg less and it’s nothing to do with the car.
