I think people need to get the green tinted specs off, in my opinion they are letting the saga emotionally get the better of them. Since when were transfers and contracts simple?

It would be cutting your nose off to spite your face to tell Forster to * off.

We don't know a single thing about what's going on in Barkas' head either.

We know he's Premier League class. His £90,000 a week wage sounds obscene to us but its wages well earned in a successful career. You can't blame him for wanting to hold onto that and taking his time. I think he could easily get another Premier league team. Southampton are absolute twats in the way they rate him.

He's on much closer to £70k per week, from what I've heard.

We move on as foster is waiting to see if a club in the big league will come in for him .
Well we can't afford to wait and we could lose out on other goalkeepers if we wait for foster .
So he's more for the money than the glory of winning the ten so that's fine but we have to move on as time is ticking .

It's different for us, the pull of the 10 is huge but what we forget is to the vast majority of players football is a job, that's it.
(Without wanting to be overly arrogant/assured/complacent should, when, it happen/s I'm sure the Club will mark the occasion with, special, medals also :86: )

I'd personally pimp your * out to anyone to make this happen Marty :88:

I'd take Barkas over him now imo. Younger and still to hit his peak while being just as good, well maybe slightly less as good.

    Still torn.
    Both would be brilliant.

Forster we get exactly what we want and know what we are getting. For £5milliom approx, it's a no brainer.

With Barkas, we get a highly rated keeper with age in his side and international exposure.
But we run that risk he may not settle, may not suit the style, etc etc.

If it's a straight up £5-7million to get either, Forster for me.

If Forster price is £10million, give me Barkas.

We could also be leaking this rumour to force the Greeks hands to sell - they may think they have the upper hand, now we may be trying to convince someone we have options (a dangerous game I hope we aren't playing)

No chance. Proven, known quantity in his peak wayyyy before a guy we know nothing of.

    Based on what?

Genuinely not even trying to be wide? What are you basing that on?:giggle1: how many times have you seen Barkas?

If it is a straight option between the two with not a massive difference in price I dont see why anyone would say Barkas. Hypothetically.

There's no doubting Forsters class but I just don't like when we get messed about. Especially off of a player that knows what this all means to us..

Maybe that's petty. If he signs I'll no doubt be delighted so I know that's a bit contradictory..

Barkas could be our keeper for the next 5 year's and won't cost anything like the outlay in Forster's wages..

For me I'm not really arsed at this stage. I dont know what's happened behind the scenes etc. Noone honestlt does.

What we all do know is that FF is proven quality. World class quality actually a lot of the time. Barkas I've seen 5 mins of on youtube. Forster I've seen 5 years at Celtic of...5 very consistent years. He also has another 5-8 years in him.

Barkas looks great on paper and I think hed be a good signing. But Forster is proven. More than proven.

Regardless of what's went on if he wants to sign and its affordable, I'm not going to be bitter.

Disagree, if Barkas does well for us i could see him leaving in 2/3 years, where-as Forster would have us sorted for the next 5+ imo
