I'd deal Ntcham in for Forster. Would prefer not to, but if it sealed the deal...

As much as I like Forster. A goalie at a mid to lower half EPL team on 100k a week is sickening and total madness, how the fuxk we ever going to compete with that! Even if he was to come here on our top wage of 30k he would be walking away from £6million in wages before tax. If he really is on that kind of money I just can't see him doing it.

That’s what I found online too, a while ago. I’d be stunned if he’s on 100k a week.

No chance of us paying 10 million for him at 32 year old unfortunately, let’s be honest though he is worth it in today’s market

Maybe knowing how much the Ten means to the fans will sway him. Just for one more season, anyway.

I think £10m is worth it for potentially 5/6 years if he still operates at a high level.

Do you think we are spending that with no sell on fee likely? I highly doubt it. He may come on loan or the Ntcham swap but even at that I can’t see pistol going for that as Ntcham has sell on potential

Big Fraz is one of the best players I've ever seen in the hoops, and if 10M is what it takes to bring him home then we should pay it.

The difference he makes to the team is incredible. He turns a shakey back 4 into an unbeatable one, and he can win games on his own.

I remember Chris Sutton once said that when they lined up beside Henrik the team felt like they could be a match for any team, and I think Forster has a similar impact.

10M and we can continue where we left off last season. No point in * about, trying to get someone in cheaper and possibly * it all up. Stump up the cash and put the 10iar champagne on ice.

FRASER FORSTER is almost certainly NOT coming back to Celtic.

It has emerged that Neil Lennon's only hope of restoring the former England No1 in goal for the 2020-21 campaign is if a permanent mega-money deal is struck with Southampton who paid the Hoops £10 million for Forster in 2014.

And SunSport Online understands that will simply be too costly for the nine-in-a-row champions with the English Premier League side seeking at least £5m for the 32-year-old who still has two years of a contract that pays him £90,000-plus a week.

We revealed Forster - sensational back on loan last season domestically and in the Europa League - had travelled back to the south coast for key talks with St Mary's boss Ralph Hasenhuttl and club chiefs over his future

Celtic had thought they'd struck an agreement in principle with the Saints board for a further year's loan.

But ultimately it was going to come down to the outcome of Forster's discussions with his parent club.

And the strong indications from Saints sources tonight was that the former Newcastle United and Norwich shot-stopper would NOT be returning north.

Forster - behind Alex McCarthy and Angus Gunn in the Saints first team pecking order - has loved being back at Parkhead and hoped a permanent deal could be struck.

But there are also now suggestions Hasenhuttl has indicated he will get a chance to prove himself during the close season with the present EPL campaign - kick-started a fortnight ago following the Covid-19 shutdown - ending later this month.

Celtic's bid for 10-in-a-row is scheduled to start on August 1 and gutted boss Lennon will now almost certainly look elsewhere with Scott Bain his only senior keeper following Craig Gordon's departure.

He could, of course, decide to still wait patiently until next month for another chance of signing Forster.

But for now Lennon will still need to bring in another senior keeper, with youngsters Conor Hazard and Ross Doohan the only other option
