Money normally wins,i would give the 10m just for his cup final game against them and his two games against Those pasta chewing *.
70k a week will break the deal imo.

He was miserable at Southampton and was still earning 70k a week. I genuinely believe he will want to go somewhere where he will get plenty of first team football.

I am sure that he has stated publicly that he is willing to take a pay cut to move here.

No way is he better than those two. I hope he wants to come back for the regular games but there’s so many factors in joining a team aint there that usually don’t take sentiments into the decision (unless you’re a fan). If we can get him for 5mil on 35k p/week for a 4/5 year it’d be great. He could easily be our number 1 for that whole time. Don’t think we should be paying over that for a 32 year old

Confident Celtic boss Neil Lennon believes he can bring Fraser Forster and Mohamed Elyounoussi back to Glasgow next season.

The Southampton loan pair have joined Celtic 's pre-season training sessions but both are set to return to St Mary's at the end of June.

Teams across the globe are having to reevaluate their signing strategies amid the COVID-19 pandemic but the Hoops boss is confident his side will be busy.

When asked about the prospect of securing permanent transfers, Lennon said: "I don't think it's unrealistic. They ( Forster and Elyounoussi) are two players who added a lot to the squad last year and made a really positive contribution.

So they are two players we would dearly love to have for next season.

But we just have to wait and see. They are not our players. We will see how negotiations go. It's good to see them back and involved and it would give us continuity if we could get those two in."

Easily sorted tbh. 30k wage cuts £4m minus 40% tax. 2.odds. easily covered with an EBT... :56: I mean a hefty sign on bonus.

I really think he will be here for the 10.

He wouldn't want to be a number two at Arsenal or Chelsea at this stage of his career surely.....he's better than Kepa in my opinion anyway.

Make the man a good offer, get pistol pete into the official haggling boots with Southampton and bring him home.

I forget what year we sold him to those shandy drinking *, but he must easily have 10-15 million if not more, stashed in those tax havens we hear about.Maybe 3 more years playing, lets hope the draw of breaking records and having some silver now out shines a few extra million.

SOUTHAMPTON are ready to use keeper Fraser Forster to lure French midfielder Olivier Ntcham from Celtic.

Saints will let giant shot-stopper Forster return to the Scottish champions after a career-reviving loan last season — but they want the move to be right for them.

They are willing to do a deal involving long-term target Ntcham, 24, who has lost his regular slot in the Celtic first team.

Forster is on big money at Southampton and the Hoops will be asked to pay more than the £15,000-a-week bargain rental they negotiated last season.

Saints’ need for Ntcham is greater because of former skipper Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg’s push to leave the club and make a big move this summer.

Celtic still rate Ntcham highly but could let him go for the right fee.

Then the clubs would have to thrash out how to make the numbers work with Forster, 32, who has six England caps.

The new Scottish season may start on August 1, so manager Neil Lennon wants to bring back Forster as soon as possible

    * it, if true, Forster is worth more points than Ntcham I'd do it in a heartbeat.

I'd do it and still pay Southampton £5mill for the deal that is how critical I think Forster is to team.

FF valued at 10M by Saints and reckon Ollie would be expected to fetch 15M, so they should give us 5M-or just chuck in Mo Ely.

Not a chance is Fraser Forster worth 10 mill, 8mill-10mill and Forster for ntcham is a fair deal. The only outstanding stumbling block then is wages but Forster seems to be fair and realistic in that regard. Southampton desperately want forster off the wage bill anyway, he also wants to play and Celtic can guarantee him that.

Wouldn't let Southampton hold us to ransom over this as good as Fraser is for us. It has to be Forster plus at least 10m cash or Forster + Eli. Ntcham is def worth 15m min in today's market and they couldn't get Forster out the club quick enough over the past couple of seasons.

Ntcham swap I think is a load of mince by the press. Yes they have been intrested before but I think the press may just be hoping to put 1 & 2 together and hope they get it right. If there is anything in said rumour then it should b off unless Southampton are willing to give us a few £m on top Ntcham is easily worth £12m.

We shouldn't be getting held to ransom by them, let's see how their season pans out. Defeat today and they could be firmly in the mix for relegation.
