    Think it was Dani Alves

Doesn't have anywhere close to the football ability required to be a barcelona keeper though

Aye, that's the thing holding him back.

    Schmeichel is made for Barca.

Would love to see him go to Barca, mainly because we'd get some money out of it if there's a sell on clause.

It would be just our luck if he did go to Barca.
He would probably play a blinder aganinst us to stop us progressing beyond the group stages in the CL when we get drawn as usual against them.

Forster signed a new 5 year deal last week and his team are 5th in the Premier League. He won't be leaving this summer.

    No he didn't.

    The two are not comparable.

Suarez signed a contract at Liverpool in December 2013, not May 2014.

Forster has signed a new 5 year deal at Southampton in May 2016, he won't leave the same summer. Forster will be at Southampton for the entire 2016/17 season at the very least.

All the top English sides have keepers they appear happy with. Southampton have just finished 8th, 7th and 6th in the last three seasons, Forster is in the England squad, he signed a new big money 5 year contract last week and has European football next season. He doesn't really need to move, so it may be a long wait if you think Celtic will be getting any more money for him.

We hit that all that patter ourselves about already being in England squads and having at that time Champions League football when at Celtic, we still knew it'd only keep him here for so long.

What's to stop him going abroad too? There is more to football than the English moneyball after all. Barcelona did and most likely still will think very highly of him.

He won't move this summer. Next summer I wouldn't be surprised.

    Same as Virgil.

I don't think he'll be in a rush to leave Saints, certainly not for another English club.

Arsenal, Tottenham and Manchester City all look happy with their keepers. United and Chelsea will only be looking if they lose De Gea/Courtois.

Liverpool is the only realistic option, but they could probably get a good keeper from Germany for a lot less money.

He's happy at Southampton, he's a regular and they're improving. I'm glad to see him doing so well.

He looks frightened on the international stage though. Makes silly wee mistakes.
Still, a far better keeper than Hart imo

Forster's the better stopper in terms of flat out keeping it out of the net. Has a bigger presence and fills the net better, sharp on his angles. As an all-around keeper, I think Harts the better keeper. Better command in his box, better kicking and passing ability in my opinion. Forster would still do well as the England #1 tho, no question.

He had a * howler today. Worse than the own goal he conceded when Cha passed it back to him against Rennes.
