No matter what anybodys thinks of him now he's still a Celtic Legend and sometimes on this forum he doesnt get treated like it.

Yip.The first part was good, as it showed some good images and interviews on his early Celtic years as part of the Quality Street Kids.

Amazed he had one of these dedicated to him, considering he never was one of the greatest players to play the game.

Wouldn't mind watching it all the same. Had some good days for Liverpool.

And why is that? Played a big part in our 9 in a row and liverpools dominance in England and Europe. Won everything he could as a player except internationally but he was class for Scotland as well helping us get to world cups.

A complete striker who was very clever with and without the ball.

Did he not win 3 European Cups? Plus countless championships north and south of the border??

One of if not THE greatest players this countries ever produced, not sure if you're being serious or not.

He was a Celtic legend no matter what some on here say, you cant blame him for wanting to leave when our board obviously had no ambition

Not every player that is successful instantly becomes one of the greatest. Don't see the point in even mentioning it, really. Many mediocre players won countless amounts of medals. He certainly wouldn't have won a European Cup here...had to join a big club to do so.

Anyway, definitely not up there with the other guys who've been proclaimed the 'greatest' by the documentary makers, such as Pele, Garrincha, Cruyff, Best, Beckenbauer, Ronaldo, etc.

This is true. Not even in the top 5 of his own generation. Arguably not even in the top 10. Not what you would expect when being labeled one of the greatest.

    Are you having a laugh?

Every Liverpool fan and player from that time recognise Kenny as the best player to have pulled on that red jersey * that's where he earned the title King Kenny!

Are you actually implying that he was mediocre? Dalglish is a LEGEND full stop.
He was the best player in that Big Club he replaced a huge favourite in Keegan and made the fans forget all about him!
That'd be like someone replacing Larsson and eclipsing him!

Kenny Dalglish Celtic legend, Liverpool Legend and one of the greatest players ever produced in Britain!! ICON.

I don't mean to be flippant or rude but what age are you guys? Have you ever seen any footage of Dalglish or spoken to anyone that has actually seen the guy play?

The program title is obviously just the name of the show.

They're not actually saying he's THE greatest, but he defo is both a CFC and LFC LEGEND.

He nearly won a European Cup here, we reached the semis with him in the team twice :97:

If he stayed theres a good chance we could have won either it or another European Trophy. Id say he was the 2nd best British player after Bobby Charlton.

Best couldnt have laced Dalglish's boots.

    Dalglish won...

    4 Scottish League
    6 English League
    3 European Cup
    1 European Super Cup
    4 Scottish Cup
    1 FA Cup
    1 Scottish League Cup
    4 English League Cup
    7 Charity Shields

Won 3 POTY trophies in England

Named in Celtic's greatest ever team
    Named Liverpools greatest ever player

6 times nominated for European Player of the Year
    2nd in 1983
    8th in 1978
    11th in 1979
    14th in 1980
    21st in 1981
    21st in 1986
