What I was trying to say earlier in the thread was: I am not going to risk carrying a flag about Celtic Park just to be whined at. I'm sure I'm not the only one. That's why I doubt it'll happen. The hassle just isn't worth it.

As much as I'd love to see it, I just really think it is impossible. There will people there who don't even support Celtic and are simply there to be at a last 16 game. There was plenty of these people at the Barcelona game.

Well every Celtic fan I know and have suggested this to have been really keen on it. It's happening and no one'll moan. This is the same kind of idea as the tifo before the Barcelona match. Everyone loved it. No one moaned. :50:

They're idiots then. :smiley-laughing002: 99.99% of people in Parkhead took part and thought it was outstanding. Only person in my entire section that didn't was a guy with crutches (obviously not able to).

It´s a sad world when football turns into opera.

As far as "I am not going to risk carrying a flag about Celtic Park just to be whined at" - tell them to * off (in all due respect) but football is about emotions like yelling, shouting, singing, jumping, flags, scarfs, banners and banter. I dont need to sit in the cold for 2 hours without movement and pay money for it. IMO might as well stay home then. Fair play to you if you dont wanna do it but personally I think people who waited for this game for so long deserve to celebrate it and not be silenced by a bunch of "last 16 I go see one game a year" people. Rant over :52:

you dont need to take a stick in the flag, you can fold it up and stick it in your pocket, thats what I usually do when taking a flag, so you dont have to carry the stick everywhere.

I'll be taking mine, get pics of your flags up, heres my two

Asked a lad from the Green Brigade about it. Said you'll get in fine with normal sized bamboo cane/ wooden stick (which is what most flags are on). I'd stick to those materials.

Is anyone on here a member on KDS, Huddleboard, etc.? It won't let me create an account to post info about the display (says my e-mail is blocked despite the fact that I've never been on there). If so, could you put up a post similar to this informing people of the display? Just keep it nice and simple:

Bring a flag to the game. Flag can be anything you want. Flags on sticks are fine as long as it's bamboo cane or wood. The display will be before kick off, use the Green Brigade display as your cue (they have something planned but it's only in 111, surrounding areas maybe). If you forget a flag hold up your scarf to fill in the gaps.

Maybe put it a bit more eloquently. It's just to spread the word so as many people are able to take part as possible.

If anyone could do that, it'd be a huge, huge favour. :50:

Feel like a celebrity when they crowd around the supporters bus as it pulls into the bus park:smiley-laughing002:. Doesn't really happen in the new one, though. Guaranteed the prices will be bumped up.

I will be taking part, tri-colour will be coming along with me. There is also a flag with the lyrics to Fields of Athenry on it for sale outside where my bus parks, might buy that if it is there. Looks excellent.
