why haven't Celtic got this on the front page of their website?

do they want drunk fans turning up to the ground not knowing about this ridiculous flag ban and being told they aren't allowed in the ground if they have their usual CSC flags?

the police say they aren't allowing any flags in to prevent potential disorder, it seems to me like they are the ones trying to create the disorder themselves.

the club have agreed to this flag ban so the question is, why haven't they engaged the supporters and made them aware of it?

do they hold the travelling support in that much contempt that they want us to be set up? looks like they have turned their attention to 'undesirable' elements within the wider support, now the GB have been axed.

sadly they are happy for this whole new level of harassment and mistreatment of the Celtic support to happen. i never thought i would see the day the Celtic board bow down to the banning of the tricolor.

They won't post it on Twitter or Facebook before the game because they know that they will receive heavy criticism. The club seem to be operating that way since the first announcement this season that 111 would be disbanded. They took pelters.

Just goes to show that their justification for the ban is * horseshit. The reason they're banned is because we're Celtic supporters.

They should just be honest and ban the tricolour, we all know that's what they mean.

What a pathetic, weak, weak excuse. "Flags can hide flares".

    1) If the police are doing their job properly, the likelihood of there being any flares in the ground should be minimal.

    2) Why would someone set off a flare behind a flag? Presumably they're still going to be holding it while it's going off so they should be plainly * visible to the pigs.

    3) If someone's trying to hide a flare (defeats the purpose of lighting it if it's completely hidden from view and if it's partially in view, they'll be plainly visible, as mentioned previously), it's not as if a flag is a requisite. It's not a * magic trick, they'd just light it behind a seat or other supporters.

How long until we see the tricolour that flies above Celtic Park being taken down?

I'd strongly advise any fans planning on going to this game to avoid it like the plague. It's not worth it.

They've created the conditions for bother. Expect the media to have a field day.

Why would they want to ban the tricolour ? They probably think the flags are a fire hazard or some bullshit like that.

I actually agree with that. Although the actions at Fir Park where inexcusable I do feel they are prodding us with a stick looking for us to react. I just hope to * everyone behaves and we can get it right up them.

Thing is it's boxing day and a 3pm kick off. Lots of folk will be tanked up with the devils mouthwash :54:

What about jackets, scarves, jeans- aren't they a fire hazard too?

Might as well ban people from leaving there own houses in that case.

The board of Celtic Football club are using a sledge hammer
to crack a nut . At the Hibs game after Celtic Stewarts had
stopped young Celtic fans from singing Celtic songs , Stewarts
and police were then seen laughing and talking to each other .
I would have thought that the interests of the whole Celtic club
Would be better served by just tolerating the Police rather than
    been over friendly.
We are now on a path where a significant amount of the Celtic
support could split and leave the club, this would be a complete
disaster and someone needs to get the board to talk to its supporters .
