Its funny, but i voted the same as 50% of others in this thread.

As for your insinuation that im trolling, (its usually that)why is it the only time we communicate is when you get personal or accusatory? I never ever reply or respond to any of your posts, unless as a retaliation. I read them, but i try and keep my distance from you as we dont get on....but you continue, week in week out year in year out to try and antagonise me. You will not let it go. If you see someone else having a pop, you cant wait to join in.

I try and give you the benefit of the doubt as being decent or at least sensible at times, but you are so inflexible when communicating with other people you disagree with.....not just me.

Anyway, sorry im not as good or big a fan as others in here....but there ye go.

 

Most people commented on how difficult it would be though, you said it couldn't be easier. In fact you said giving up other sports would be harder.

That is completely alien to me.

Thankfully i dont have to make that choice, but i would defo give up football before music, and defo give up football (with Celtic) before all other sport combined....yes. Like i said, i play cards, i play golf, pool, and as a wean i was always 'playing' something....so although football was by far and away my favourite sport growing up, it is not now the be all and end all for me. Sorry...thats how i feel.

 

Does that mean we can't sing at games or play the rebs?.

I think for most people passions change over time with life priorities and new interests. As I said earlier I would give up football for music in a second. When I spent my days playing poker, I would give up football for poker in a second. Now I dont play poker so I would give up poker ahead of football. I get more excited watching mma than football in general - celtic and the social element of football would sway me to giving up mma but it wouldnt be a 'no brainer'. In a different social environment I might give up football instead.

People who post on here are all celtic fans, but there are massive degrees of 'fan' - from the guys who have never missed a game, to the guys that have other priorities in life but still like to keep in touch with what is going on in all things Celtic. We are all far too old to be getting into "Im a bigger Celtic fan than you.." type discussions.

 

I don't think that's true. I would probably say it is only 99.5% of the folk that post on here.

 

I never I was a bigger fan than anybody.

However if you want to go down that road then yes, I'm a bigger fan than someone who would give up Celtic to watch Tennis or MMA.

Celtic is important to me in as much as it's one of the only constants in my life over the years. I have changed and become various things but it is the one constant. Religion, friendships have come and gone, likes and dislikes have come and gone but Celtic has remained.

He used to play music all the time in his acts, also played in bands (Humblebums).

Hasn't done that for a long time though but still shows up at the games from time to time.
