Anyone play this game when they were younger?

 

i played it, it was outstanding . have you played the new one ( 13 ) it pretty good aswell .

 

best game ever made IMO

Amazing, the Final Fantasy series is my favourite, love them all except 13. Have high hopes for FF13 Verses. My faves are 7,8 & 10

 

I have FFVII since I was 7 now 20 and the copy is a bit wrecked so I bought it on PSN and its pure class. I'd say I've completed it about 12 or thirteen times and I play through it at least once a year for the sheer nostalgic value, the music always gives me the chills because a) the music is amazing and b) the fact that it defines my childhood as well. Best game ever made. Played them all from 7 up til 12, didn't like 12 and not gonna get 13, must play 9. 8 was very good too but 7 was a masterpiece.

final fantasy 10 was the las one i played! played the blitz ball quite a lot too! brilliant game. the zanerkand gate keeper was solid too

 

did anyone actually manage to beat the ruby weapon without , knights of the round materia ???

 

the boss fight tune was class and the bit when you wake up and your cell is unlocked and your following the blood was creepy

 

Anyone have The Legend Of Dragoon, now that is a great PSOne game, alot of people dont know about it & its an amazing RPG

 

FF7 is a belter, one of my favourite games ever, lost count of how many times I've played it.

The Final Fantasy series in general though, it's really taken a nosedive since after 10 I'd say, I thought 12 was pretty bad in terms of plot and character development compared to previous games, not even bothered with 13 yet, from what I've seen and heard it looks all flash and little substance, might pick it up eventually when it's a couple of quid but I'm in no hurry.

Anyone that has an Xbox 360 and is a fan of of the older ones, or more traditional * role playing games in general, I'd highly recommend Lost Odyssey, it's from the game studio started by Hironobu Sakaguchi the original creator of the FF series, and has the same composer Nobuo Uematsu on the music. Because they're the creative force behind it, for lack of a better term, it 'feels' more like a Final Fantasy game to me than the new games with the FF name stamped on them. Pretty cheap now, like a tenner on amazon new, sure you can find it for less used, worth a pop at that price.

 

Absolute class. Golden Saucer, changed my life. But in my opinion FF8 was better. The video in it where the Garden (University) is invaded was amazing.

 

ff 7 and 9 were the best, ten was good too. gunna re dl ff7 and9 for the nostalgia, random battles didmy head in though.

 

I'm playing it at the moment and for the first time ever I've gotten the Gold Chocobo :icon_mrgreen: a lot easier than I remember it being. Now I'm gonna train away until I can beat Ruby and Diamond Weapon.

Best game ever, without a doubt.

A prefer 8 personally but for greatest game ever I don't think you can beat 7.

I used to love the FF games they were * hot

However i got an xbox 360 and saw Final Fantasy was out for it, I went and bought it and played it for 20 mins switched it off and it's never saw the light of day since. Why the * did they decide to butcher it ?? what idiot decided that they make it just a completely linear game ?

 

FFVII is the best game of all time.
