Umma 3/10 Ignored the * IMDb rating and gave it a bash. First 10 mins I actually thought it looked like it might be OK, but nah. Guff.

A History of Violence - 8/10 Really liked this. Viggo Mortensen is brilliant. I'd seen bits of it before but first time I've watched right through.

X - 7/10 Strange movie. Bit of Texas Chainsaw Massacre coupled with Boogie Nights, weirdly compelling.

Seen some absolute * recently so these were both a welcome decent watch.

Completely terrible and pointless with no plot advancement or plot at all for that matter seriously disappointing

Remember watching the second film with one thought in my head, "when will this end?"

Watched the new Spiderman film. I’m not into superhero films but the wee man loves them so I didn’t really have a choice. I thought it was great. Really well done.

The Batman 6/10 Not massively into Batman, or any superhero films tbh, but gave it a bash. Bit meh, some alright scenes. Couldn't believe wasn't even half way through when I checked how long left at 1 hour 20 in. Unnecessary.

Same. Not a fan of superhero films, but liked the past few Batman ones coz they were a bit dark and sinister. Started watching this one and 3 hours long is a * take. Gave up half way through. How do people manage to sit in a cinema for 3 hours without a */* break?

I really liked Joker. Could tell I was going to like that very early on in the film, and hope they do something else as a sequel to that. This just didn't do anything for me though, and I think Robert Pattinson is really good generally. I'd possibly have fallen asleep in the cinema for this.

Absolutely no need for it to be 3 hours. Ruined it for me. Thought it was decent other than that.

I couldn't get into it at all, and by the time it seemed like the film was getting somewhere I was bored as *, so turned it off. I'll probably try again but watch it half at a time over 2 nights. Joker was brilliant, and hope there Joaquin Phoenix goes for a sequel, but its possibly best just to leave it as a stand alone film

Agree with some of the posters above Spotlight is an exceptional film, don't miss it.
