    Venom 2;

Really enjoyed it. It’s much shorter than the first one I think but it’s funnier and some good action. Woody Harrelson is good too as is Stephen Graham and Tom Hardy of course.

The post credits scene is pretty wild in the grand scheme and what’s coming next.

Rumours Venom will be in No Way Home. Probably just a cameo building upon something bigger in the following movies

    Ron’s Gone Wrong.

Took the wean to see it at the pictures. It’s not going to give Toy Story any sleepless nights but it was quite good.

    6.5/10

Dune 7/10 very good I thought and you cannot tell the whole story in one film otherwise it would need to be 4 hours long.

Certainly annoying we will need to wait 1+ years for the second part but I thoroughly enjoyed it and visually it was spectacular.

Aye, saw Dune last night. Enjoyed it apart from the soundtrack which was annoying for me anyways but again having to wait years for the 2nd part as they havent even started filming it yet i dont think.

Just watched the Last Duel, even though I liked it, it is a little bit long with several scenes repeating albeit from a different persons point of view. Overall it was a very good watch, I am a fan of history and historical type movies/shows so maybe I’m a little biased in that regard

I took my good lady to see the new film as she loves Bond. She was in tears at the end when Bond dies however, she was a bit disappointed in the film overall. Me, I've never really been a Bond fan and thought it was ok in parts but nothing great.

All of this pretty much summed it up for me also. :50:

Didn't think it deserved the 18 rating though, and the very few scenes that it is there for could;ve easily been edited around - which think has kind of killed it at the box office... well, that and bad timing - for what is effectively a medieval soap opera, like somethign that could've played out on Game of Thrones, or some such, if it were not for that it is based on a true story.

The Deep House 6.5/10 Always on look out for new horrors and quite liked this one. I find James Jagger a fairly irritating actor generally, but didn't totally spoil it. Creepy as *.

Paranormal Activity Next of Kin. 3/10 Nonsense, not sure why I bothered. Liked the first one in this series but they've deteriorated. Don't like switching off films before the end but was no point continuing. Pish.

Beyond parody. Trying to turn Michael Myers into some sort of assassin and the film overall into a comedy. Myers being slow and creepy is what makes the originals. They had him taking out full villages like he was John Wick. He’ll probably be running around with a machine gun next one.

    The Guilty

Loved it but that’s probably more because I’m a fan of Jake Gyllenhaal. Basically a one shot of a 911 operator on call with a women who’s been kidnapped by her husband but it’s not all that it seems.

    Akira

Rewatch but an absolute classic man. Best Anime film ever and one of the best soundtracks for any film ever. Talk of it getting a live action remake soon but really hope they don’t do it.

Dune was great, but I'm a big fan of Denis Villeneuve's movies in general.

I've seen people say that's it steals from Star Wars without realising that the source material predates it by a good decade.

Can't wait for the sequel. It was a bit drawn out in places, but it was very much a world and backstory builder and there's a lot more to come in the 2nd installment.

I know it's been out for years but only just got round to watching L.A Confidential.

    Thought it was class.

Loved the noir vibes. Anything else similar to that film on its level?

    Spider-Man Far From Home

Dreadful film. Literally too much * to even list what was wrong with it.

No surprise they’d turned to getting Maguire and Garfield back for the next yin. That Tom Holland is woeful.

    The Wailing

Korean mystery / horror film from 2016 that got stellar reviews. It’s a long film, so I’m breaking it down over a couple of nights. I’m an hour into it so far and I’m really not understanding the praise. The storytelling is all over the shop, the acting is grim, and the dialogue is mince.

Perhaps it all comes together in the second half… feckin hope so.
