Annihilation - Great visuals and a very unique setting/atmosphere. A few tense moments throughout. Definitely recommend it.

Gerald's Game - Another good one. Unsettling film with one of the most minging scenes I've seen in film...had to look away during it. Carla Gugino is phenomenal in it.

Stuart Little (1999) - two parents emotionally torment their young son by adopting a mouse, telling him it's his sibling, and treating it as his equal.

    Finally watched Avengers: Infinity War.

Confused about the ending, but then again can probably figure out pretty easily roughly what will happen in the next film.

    6/10

    Adrift.

True story of a woman who was stuck at sea for 41 days, after getting caught in a hurricane. Fantastic.

    A Cure for Wellness

One of the strangest films I've ever seen. A bit Shutter Island-esque with the general premise and setting. I enjoyed it but I'm still trying to process it.

Only problem with it is it's on for too long.

Agreed. Quite enjoyed the movie even if I can't put a finger in exactly why.

Still makes me gutted that Verbinski never got to make the Bioshock movie.

    Alien (1979)

To be honest, I didn't really enjoy it. I appreciate that, at the time, it was no doubt more groundbreaking and scarier than I found it...but I was sort of bored for a large period of it.

Don't think it holds a candle to The Thing.

    The Florida Project. 8/10.

Loved it. About poor kids/family in a motel next to Disneyland trying to make ends meet. Brutal at times but kind of sums up how * up the world is these days.

The wee lassie and Willem Dafoe are phenomnal in it.

    A Quiet Place.

I thought this was really good tbh, acting was excellent for a film filmed in 36 days.

Some usual Horror Cliche moments, but one of the better horror films in the last few years

THE THING is still one of the best looking horror films to this day....On Blu Ray its stunning looking, better than that CGI *.

The all male cast is excellent from all.

Carpenters finest Film for me,followed by Escape From New York and Big trouble in Little China

Yeah the practical effects are absolutely fantastic. Watched a video on how they did the defibrillator scene...just amazing.

    Friday the 13th (1980)

Not bad. A few good kills and some lovely cheesiness.
