    Don't think we'd bring in another midfielder alongside Mooy unless we get rid of McCarthy. Even then, we'd still be a bit clogged up there, and would maybe need to loan out the likes of Shaw and Robertson too.

    Celtic's interest in Fausto Vera has cooled following the signing of Aaron Mooy on a free transfer.

    The Australian joined the Hoops on a two-year deal after leaving Shanghai Port as his most recent club. Manager Ange Postecoglou has been interested in Mooy for a while and always had an eye on the former Brighton and Huddersfield midfielder with a view to bringing him to Parkhead. The transfer was concluded and announced this afternoon but fans have been questioning what may now happen with regards to Argentinos Juniors' playmaker Vera, 22, who has been linked with a move to Parkhead this summer. Football Scotlandunderstands Vera's name has indeed come up on a number of occasions within the club and was a player they were considering with their links to the South American market now stronger after their acquisition of Alexandro Bernabei from Lanus.

    I thought it was about 6 mill. 9 is quite steep to be honest..

    Aye, he wasn't my pick if I'm being honest.....but would've much rather went for him than Mooy..

    Vera is mobile and seems to dictate game's from deep and do everything that Mooy can do. Assists, goals wise. Looks actually ok in the air for no being a big lump..

    Someone like Belmonte would've been cheaper than Vera no doubt and a better option than Mooy. Plenty better but we'll go with what Ange wants..
