Fact of Life: someone, somewhere will take offence on the behalf of someone else at any little thing that is said.

 

One more: casual racism is accepted pretty much everywhere, and defended as "no offence meant".

 

Or white people just love getting offended on behalf of other races, even when the original comment was perfectly innocent.

I wonder if one black man called a white man a honkey arsed cracker in front of other black men would any of them get offended?

THB I won't miss his whiney *. I once referred to something disgusting as "black as *" and I was reported for racism even though where I come from black means dirty. Was probably someone like Gordy that stuck me in.
