    Yup. If Betis win we have next to no chance of second. Leverkusen to win both games against them and us to beat Ferencvaros away will set it up for Betis at home. By the time we get to Leverkusen aswell they will be well through and hopefully have nothing to play for so if we needed a point that could help. Huge ask for us to win next 2 but not impossible.

    Edit: just realised it Leverkusen before Betis. ECL is most likely for us now.

    Haven't they changed up the format this year anyway? Pretty sure 2nd place teams go into a play-off with 3rd placed CL teams for a place in the knockouts.

    Finishing 3rd would put us into the Conference which is a competition we could maybe do some damage in. Whereas finishing 2nd would likely give us a * of a play-off.

    Used to be 12 groups. Top two from each group went through to the last 32 along with 8 teams dropping down from the CL.

    Now there's 8 groups and they've scrapped the round of 32. First place in each group goes straight into the last 16. The second placed teams have a play off against the 8 teams dropping down from the CL with the winners going through to complete the last 16.
