He did nothing more against slavia than slippy and much less against slavia than arteta. To me he’s nowhere near the best. He was also average for us in Europe, better than Lennon for sure but nowhere near O’neil and even Strachan.

He's on a different level to that pair, come on now. He has weaknesses but so does every manager.

He's a phenomenal manager, fact our board acted the * with him and then thought lennon was an adequate replacement tells you everything you need to know about their footballing knowledge.

Didn't even notice that part. Meant Slippy and Arteta.

I would put him on par with O'Neill and above Strachan though but completely different era's so hard to compare.

Chelsea have the mega money to go out and get virtually any manager in the world. They appointed the ex Borrusia Dortmund and PSG manager Thomas Tuchel. Rodgers outclassed him with an inferior team today. Rodgers is proving himself to be one of the best managers around, as much as it pains me to say it. He will walk out of Leicester just as he did to Celtic if a club that he perceives to be 'bigger' comes along. When I say 'bigger' I mean a club with a bigger spending power and will give him the money to compete to buy the best players in the world. He'll be looking at the Man United situation with interest.

I’m sure tuchel will have his eye on the CL, also ole is in a better league position.

Rodgers IS good manager but he’s nowhere near world class

And is sitting where in the league compared to Leicester ?

As I said, he has flaws but he's on a completely different level to managers like Arteta and Gerrard. Although they are not long in the game in that capacity. He is a top class manager, no denying that. He is a * but we were lucky to have him here.

Rodgers is a top class manager.

You can put the failure to land the 10 at two separate points.

    1. Summer 2018. This convinced Rodgers he could only take the club so far, so it was inevitable that 2018/2019 would be his last season, whether he left in March or May is now irrelevant. The disastrous summer of 2018 sealed his departure.

    2. May 2019. Having lost Rodgers it was a huge blow but we did receive the 2nd highest fee for a manager in football history. We could still have sought out a coach of a similar stature and enjoyed a comfortable sail towards the 10. But we took the cheap lazy unprofessional approach and the rest is history.

Why do people want to deny Rodgers is a fantastic manager? Just look at the job.je done with us ffs. Aye he left but he is and probably always will be one our best ever managers.

Fair play to him. I like to see him do well, despite jumping ship

His leaving us in March will never be irrelevant.

I guess we'll find out over the next few years because he will be given another chance at one of the top clubs. Surely you're not suggesting OGS is a better manager than Rodgers, never in a million years. IF OGS was Leicester manager they would be bottom half of the EPL and nowhere near the FA Cup final.

Anyway ive said enough. Im not a fan of English football and certainly not a fan of Brendan Rodgers.
