This isn't that different to the way the Non-League have been doing it for years and I like it as it keeps more of the league involved and actually rewards higher place finishes rather the way it is in the league.

So essentially you have playoff QF's

4th at home to 7th and 5th and home to 6th.

Then the winners play away to 2nd and 3rd in the semi's with the final at a neutral venue.

So if you finish 7th you make the playoffs but don't have any home games out of the the three. If you come second you only have two games and don't have to play away.

I think lower down the leagues the final isn't at a neutral venue.

Yeah it's what the national league do I think - seems more fairer

It's not. How it's usually done is 2nd vs 5th and 3rd vs 4th, 2nd and 3rd at home and the highest place team in the final gets the home tie. So second guaranteed home if they get there, 5th can't get it at all.

A team with Bannan, Patterson, Palmer and Windass shouldn't win a game let alone 5-1. Jeezo.

It is. How it is usually done, is how I explained it. Notts Co got promoted after 2 playoff games. The teams finishing 4th to 7th would have to play three games to get promoted.

FA Trophy final today. Halifax v Gateshead two teams who finished the season well.

Coventry vs Luton today in the Championship play off final, it's like a match to decide 20th place next season.

Luton absolutely all over Coventry here. Looks like a prem team vs a mid table championship side and that may very well be what these sides are next season.

Alfie Doughty at left back for Luton, we were strongly linked a season or two back I’m sure?

Either of these teams will get battered in the EPL next season. Standard is rotten.

You are probably right that they will be battered but it’s harsh on Luton to say the standard is rotten. They look pretty decent. Unlike Bournemouth, Fulham and Forest from this season though they don’t seem to have any standout players that would help them bridge the gap.

Think they said he was unconscious on the park but was conscious after..

Game on. Sure we were linked to Hamer as well? Couldn't nail him down..
