He came on in 80 mins in that game at home v Malmö his clumsyness gave away the free kick that led to their goal. To think this clown is being paid for this * is even more funny than his errors.

Took his goal with ease. Looked Messi like the way he could slot it home. Just need to face him in the other direction or tell him to go defend for the other team to allow us some easy goals

 

Think we need an Efe Amnesty- we agree to back him 100% but if he * up just once more he leaves, rips up his contract and we say nothing more about it...
Can't be good for him mentally having his own fans booing him- feel sorry for the big man and presume we have no one else to fill the position

Booing your own player isn't nice but the management team need to wake up and realise that everyone has ran out of patience with this * pathetic excuse of a defender.

 

Always hoped Efe would gain some composure and learn to read the game better BUT it seems as if that's just not gonna happen.
It's not entirely his fault, he IS imo a back up player anyways. But once again becuase of injuries/lack of transfer activity we end up having to stick him in when the important games come along.

It just seems to get from bad to worse for the big guy though so for all parties involved it's best we just cut ties with him.

 

When asked about the central defender's performance after the game, Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers could only take pity on the 28-year-old.

"He's an unlucky guy, bless him. I think that a striker would've been proud of that goal." Rodgers said.

"He was so unfortunate. I thought he actually done okay at times. He's in a decent enough area, the ball gets whipped in, but there's no real danger. For it to come his leg that far outside of the post and go in the far corner was disappointing, especially after getting back into the game. But sometimes these things happen, and in the main he did okay."
The former Liverpool manager was then asked about the reaction from a section of the Celtic supporters when the defender was substituted.

Rodgers said he hadn't heard boos or cheers at the time, and defended the Nigerian international.

"If it was that I didn't hear it myself, but if it was, it wasn't nice," the Northern Irishman said.

"Whatever his faults are, he's a real good guy who gives his all for the club. He devotes his life to Celtic, he prepares well, he trains well, he doesn't cheat. He trains every single day, he's a man who wants to get better. I would like to think the Celtic supporters will support every player that plays, whether that's Efe or anyone else. Once they pull on the green and white jersey, everyone needs that support."

If it's true that people were booing him then that's just poor show.
He's wearing the jersey and it was a * friendly aswell.

 

The booing was over the mark. Can be frustrated with the guy but don't boo him. He's in a Celtic shirt so you should support him, yes he made an error but didn't deserve that.
