Stephen McGowan was on clyde saying he would put money on it being Howe.

I never heard I myself though

Desmond interviewed Howe in London and was hugely impressed and consequently offered him the job.
Howe was prepared to become the Celtic manager and rebuild the Celtic team...however he asked for his own team
Desmond wanted to speak with them personally before he would agree.

With regard to finances Howe demanded the same as Brendan fraudgers ie 2.5 million a year. Desmond was prepared
to pay this....here comes the caveat...Howe was asked to pay his staff from his salary of 2.5 million... hence why it’s all
went quiet. If you look at what howe’s agent who came out and said several clubs are interested and any talks of a deal

Also Desmond really wanted Roy Keane but soon realised how unpopular this would have been with the fans

Personally I’m fed up of the ‘good source’ *. Won’t believe anything until the club announce it. Heavily frustrated, like many, with the lack of movement in filling important positions and understanding the vision the board has for our great club! But I can’t say I’m surprised there’s been nothing solid as of yet. The owner and board either do not care or they are completely oblivious of how we (as fans) think or feel! None of those * understand. It’s frustrating as *.

I really do not want to do this but if there’s nothing finalised by the end of the month regarding our vision for next season, then I’m not renewing.

 

Just to add to that I heard Paul Merson the other day (yeah I know, *) say on sky sports that other than Celtic park, anfield is the next best to striking fear into opponents no matter who they are. Then I thought to myself... Surely Eddie Howe is well aware of this and would be licking his lips at the prospect of European nights... then I remembered we have a board full of incompetent * and they don’t give a * about the atmosphere and welcoming that we give the managers & players that come into our club. Hope to be proven wrong in the future...

 

People asking about if howe should have a say in DoF no he shouldn't the DoF should be Howe's line manager as such the go between him and the top but also in charge of the recruitment team sports science team coaches etc that shouldn't be someone that's picked by the manager as there is so much more to the role than just someone to liaise with

Fed up with all this crap going on if Eddie Howe has accepted the job then just tell us
Make a statement saying Eddie will be our new manager at the start of next season. The silence from the club is deafening which tells me he has not accepted the job and we are scrambling about like rabbits in headlights. Treat us like adults please

Only Celtic could turn appointing a new manager into a saga, frustrating the very life blood (fans) that keeps the club where it is.
But I think we all expect this kind of behaviour from our board. Maybe with a new CEO things will change.
