It makes you wonder why anyone is in the least surprised when we see rising cancer rates. These companies pump animals full of all manner of toxins and then sell it to us as food.

Honestly, I've never felt healthier since ditching meat from my diet years ago.

That bit with the bin truck was grim. That's enough for me.

If anyone thinks their fruit and vegetables aren't being treated in the same mass produced, quantity over quality, way they're well wide of the mark.

Unfortunately if everyone knew how and where their food came from no one would eat. One way of solving the obesity issue I suppose.

It really depends where you buy it. Supermarket stuff most likely is, simply because it has to have a shelf life that allows it to be shipped from other countries, sit on the shelf, then sit in your home.

I have to admit to being quite shocked by how quickly organic, locally produced fruit & veg goes off when I first started buying it.

I still stand by my claim regarding meat though, simply because I've felt the effects of removing it from my diet. I'm lighter, healthier, stronger and generally feel better.

Whats also apparent from this is that some people who work in slaughterhouses are cruel *.
They love inflicting pain on these poor animals.

If you lived in a lot of parts of the US, for example, you'd be as well not to.

Genetically modified and sprayed with allsorts. Every bit as bad for you as low quality meat.

Completely agree there. Check out Monsanto and Roundup Ready Crops, crops that are genetically engineered able to withstand high dosages of Roundup (weedkiller essentially). All that goes into the body, the GE crop and the herbicide and pesticide and whatever -cide sprayed on them. Suicide is what it is... Links to allergies, cancer, autism etc

i would add that animals are getting fed this GM * too (GM corn is a big one) as well, so one way or another its ending up on most dinner tables.

I gave up meat after watching a * up video on animal cruelty when I was early twenties (32 now) for a couple of years . However, later, I watched a docu on abbatoirs in the UK and watched how they kill the animals and it actually turned me back on to meat. Thought that part of the process seemed fairly humane. I try and only eat good quality meat though. Nothing processed, as fresh as I can. If you have a decent butchers next to you, you should support them instead of the supermarkets IMO.

Aye, they are despicable human beings.

Its tragic. If you perceive any being as capable of experiencing fear and pain, then to inflict either upon them makes you a moron.

I actually dont want to say what i would like to happen to those people.
