You are not a Chartered Accountant.

Aye? You're the first Chartered Accountant I've ever came across that has no understanding of how a PLC operates and where to find how much they've made or lost in any particular year.

Age ? Injuries ? Not sure where you'll find someone willing to pay £6m for a guy who is 30 this summer and plays in Scotland.

It's not about whether he was a bargain its his current value. If he was 23 aye, £10m valuations are fine.

...so you've put down 3 years of exams etc down to a 3 liner from me on a celtic forum? :smiley-laughing002:

And of course I do...you would just look at the accounts...obviously. And what does 'how a plc operates' even mean? The most generic statement of all time. Trust me, don't talk to me about accounting. 1. It's boring and 2. I'd absolutely school you on it.

All I said was that I would expect Celtic to cover their operating costs through means out with player sales. That is a completely reasonable statement to make and how on earth you come to the conclusion of me having 'no understanding of how a plc operates (whatever that even means) and where to find how much they've made or lost in any particular year' I have no clue whatsoever :56:

I said he was worth the money, but he isn't worth it anymore.

Few people discussing what we paid for Brown and what hes worth now. Thought it would be worth showing yous how much we paid for each of the players compare to what i would value them at today. Have we grabbed bargins? or looking to cover our losses?

Couldn't agree more on the first point. Second point, without entering a * waving contest, feel free to give it a bash.

For someone studying Accountancy your grasp of how a business works and reports its financial performance is not very good. To answer your initial question, considering you are a CA, you could have the information you want sitting in front of you with a few clicks of a mouse.

I don't particularly want to wave * but how you can say someone's 'grasp of how a business works and reports its financial performance is not very good' from one sentence on a fans football forum is fairly baffling. I'm pretty confident I'm okay at it. I studied it for 7 years.

I'd say you'd struggle to get that for Lustig with his injury problems. If he wasnt injury prone he'd be worth that no bother.

I would agree pretty much with your values except Mulgrew and possibly Griffiths whom I dont think has increased that much since we bought him. You could argue though that just playing for us may have added to his value.

Ambrose is surely 3 million? We declined an offer last window for 3 million.
