    Quickest player I've ever seen.

Couple of examples that stick out in my mind

"I learned a lot from Martin O'Neill on a human level", Agathe told French magazine So Foot.

"Strachan, it was just the opposite.

"Already he had brought a right-back named Paul Telfer, a guy married to his daughter.

    "That's it.

"From the first training [session] I clashed with him because I hurt myself while he told me to train against the opinion of the physiotherapists."

Didn’t realise Telfer was WGS’s son in law.
Shame the way Agathe’s Celtic career fizzled out. Don’t think any of MON’s main men were impressed with the change in management style when Strachan arrived. Sutton, Agathe, Balde, Petrov all * hated him.

Strachan was a conservative manager and good for the club at the time but the telfer thing their just shows you what an * hole he could be showing loyalty to players just like his time at Scotland who shouldn't be their in the first place telfer by all means did a job for us spfl level but shouldn't have been their especially if it was because he was strachan son in law

Loved agate. Webster's tackle in late 2001 left wider a bit fearful in commiting to the run. 1st year he would just soar from right to left holding off 4 guts. Later years it was a great right back slide tackle machine

Wasn't Strachan instructed to shove all the high earners out the club?

I mean WGS' personality would do a lot to * someone off, and I say that as somebody who doesn't hate Strachan as much as others do (even though I spent most of the last Scotland campaign calling for his head).

I don't think agate would have been on a lot considering he was signed for 50 grand

He was tasked with reducing the overall wage bill but we still had high earners within that. Jarosik, Donati, Gravesen, Naka etc would all have been on much more than Agathe was at any point.

To be a fly on the wall whenever Sutton and WGS got into an argument.

Brilliant player and one of MON’s best signings.

His pace was out of this world. Even in the CL group stage he would frequently dominate the right wing and leave the opposition full back on the back foot the entire game.

His conversion to a right back was a brilliant move as well.

Not the kinda guy who I would’ve thought would go into management but hope he makes a success out of it

No harm to Durham, but surely we should be supporting this non league side? :84:

What a mental bargain he was and to convert him from a forward to a marauding right back was genius as @King of Kings says..

Has to be our fastest ever player?
