    Brentford are weighing up a move for versatile Rapid Vienna midfielder Dejan Ljubicic.

    The 22-year-old almost joined MLS side Chicago Fire in January then endured a couple of niggling injuries but has returned to Rapid's starting line-up since the Austrian Bundesliga resumed in June.

    Ljubicic is a holding midfielder with a good passing range who reads the game well and has also been utilised at centre-back.

    The Austria U21 international only has one year left on contract and is keen to move with Rapid willing to sell for around £2million.

    Promotion-chasing Brentford are renowned for finding bargains, bringing in the likes of Said Benrahma and Bryan Mbeumo in the past, and will evaluate Ljubicic over the coming weeks.

    Southampton, Celtic and Rangers have also discussed the 6ft 2ins Austrian who is being touted for a call-up to the senior national side but there is also interest from clubs in Germany and Russia.

    I can see Bitton as a CB more this season given Jozo is away, I still think he is suited better at CDM, but the news we are promoting young Welsh to the first team squad tells me we aren’t buying a CB.

    i think they just get a sniff of it being a scottish team and lump us both in for safe/vagueness.. on the player though, i would defo take, good player but not a position were struggling to fill unless there are some offloads.

    So am I but we will need to see as he’s not even had a sniff compared to Klimala who was signed at the same time. I’m not writing him off btw I would like to see what he has given the usual YouTube video from his old club.

    Just because Kouassi failed, doesn't mean Soro will..

    Kouassi was a bit part player in Russia played about 10 game's or so and was injured near enough the whole time he was here..

    Soro was the main man for his team in Israel everything seemed to go through him and he doesn't seem injury prone either..

    Hopefully mate, but I personally can see Bitton dropping to CB permanently if so we need another CDM one that as you say is ready to go.

    TBH it was going to be hard for Eboue to play much with the way Brown is. Think it's getting to the time were Soro might get more of a chance with Browns age.
