    If Boyata signs a new deal I say we crowdfund a strip with 'Boyata + length of contract' and @Gyp Rosetti needs to wear it and get a picture on the Celtic Way at the next home game.

    Taking emotion out of the equation, it would be great if he signed a new contract. He clearly had a wobble in the summer and I hope he realises the gravity of what he did at a critical time in the season.

    That being said, he's our senior centre back and he's been playing very well, and consistently, for a while now. The thought of going into the qualifiers next season without both of our first choice centre backs is terrifying.

    On this form he is a very good player and we'd do well to replace him on our budget. I still want him gone for two reasons:

    1) I'll never trust him again. Funny how well he can play when it is in his interests.
    2) It sends a signal that you can get away with anything under Brendan if you are good enough and we are short of decent cover for your position. That is a bad signal to send IMO.

    Still a case of get him gone in January for me.

    Great if he signs a new contract. He's been brilliant this season, consistently in the Belgium squad and if he wants to leave in the summer we'll actually get a good fee.
