Want to like him as a player but I think he actually slows us down. His decision making in the final third is terrible at times. Good squad player but think we need better in the middle. For his set pieces he is hopeless. Surprised Abada wasn't on them after the weekend.

Needed him to step up and he was brutal..

Worst thing is he had a lot of space in the middle and did nothing all night..

They were pressing and we bypassed them numerous time's and when they dropped off he had enough of the ball as well..

    Poor..

You begin to wonder if our players actually do practice taking set pieces at Lennoxtown as it certainly doesn't look like it

I know we need proper depth rather than losing it, but if we got a good offer in January for him, I'd honestly be tempted to take it.

I've heard this a lot lately, but it was barely a year ago we was raving about how great he was at set pieces compared to Christie and demanding he takes everything.

You don't suddenly lose that ability, surely.

He has played nearly every minute of every game, i genuinely think a rest would do him good.

Hopefully with hatate and ideguchi coming in we can start rotating the midfield more.

I’ve thought this too. Actually love the lad, but he doesn’t really suit the system. Again, as I always say, managers manage, and (much as I also love Ange), if the big man can’t find a place in his system for Turnbull’s style of player, that isn’t the lad’s fault.

That said, in Rogic we have another player who had similar issues with Ange’s style. That is, he hadn’t the stamina or pressing (his problem), and had a tendency to take a moment to slow us down by picking the best pass available (Ange’s problem, as the system generates quick passing; not necessarily clever passing).

However, Rogic has managed, with Ange’s help, to successfully negotiate these issues, compromise where necessary, and make improvements.

I don’t see the same with Turnbull yet. He still seems to be in the mindset of that 19/20 year old who measures his game by goals and YouTube-worthy passes. That will become an issue if it continues, and he’ll have to leave.

Would much rather that didn’t have to happen though.

Silver lining is that the rest might do him good. Hopefully he makes a miraculous recovery.

If we sold Turnbull, there is one area of the game where we would greatly suffer: corners and indirect free kicks. His delivery is solid. And Rogić hasn't even been tested, there.

    Jesus he was really devastated.

I don't know why but his reaction really took me by surprise.

    Hope he's OK.

Same. Was surprised how much it meant to him for some reason..

Craigan said he's never had a muscular injury either. It's also surprising that he's been the mainstay considering where he's came back from..

Hopefully nothing too serious as he was gonna try and play on until Ange put a halt to that..

Was gutted for him walking off, takes a fair bit of stick but the manager clearly likes him alot and there’s no doubt he brings a lot to the table.

Hopefully he isn’t out for long but I’d be amazed if that’s not him till after the winter break at least. More importantly we’re another body light.

My guess is the length of time he was out with his previous injury was playing on his mind, and for it to happen in a big final too.

Its weird ... I think that some players are excellent at set pieces before they come here and during their first season. Then they get progressively worse
