He’s got too many flaws in his game at the moment IMO and he needs time to try and sort them out.

He’ll struggle in the modern game without better athleticism. As someone else said, he’s very slow on the turn.

He has a decent first touch but he’s so slow he still struggles to complete the second touch to offload the ball. It always looks like he’s about to be dispossessed when there’s really no excuse for it.

Players have improved from last season, yes, but that's form. What we are seeing from these players is nothing we haven't seen from them in seasons prior to last.

Mcgregor and Rogic have actually had better periods of form in the past. They haven't improved as players, Ralston has, so it's most definitely not "pish".

The amount of times he literally stops a move dead in its tracks is * infuriating.

He's just not looking sharp enough to kick on right now.

As someone said during the game yesterday, he's looking like a Motherwell player, not a Celtic player.

You replace him with ANYONE on the right wavelength yesterday and we were 2-0 up going in at half time.

He will be a man down against Leverkusen as seen in the reverse fixture, what's concerning is, he seems bulletproof under Ange.

Like any young player, consistency is the key for him...

His talent isn't in doubt but has had to play more than he should have due to a real lack of depth in our midfield.

2 quality CMs are the priority for me in Jan.

Midfield 3 of McGregor, Biton and Rogic for me when all fit.

Nah, we had our best period of form with CalMac, Turnbull and Rogic. We do need extra midfield competition for both Turnbull and Rogic.

The more I see CalMac at 6 the more I really like it. He understands how to play out, creating space, showing for the ball etc. Biton can stay as backup to CalMac.

Turnbull isn’t a 10 IMO, leave him at 8. Rogic gets Turnbull facing forwards by breaking the lines on the turn or getting into space that allows Turnbull to come onto the ball. Think Davey is just missing Tom :100:

That setup doesn't have the lungs to press consistently, and lacks a midfield runner. I suppose it can work against bottom SPFL teams at home.

I agree, but it’s currently the best we’ve got.

Harsh about the tap in, imo.

Weak. Painfully slow. No left foot.

    We need better.

He's the least mobile player at the club, and the most one footed, so always gets caught in awkward positions.
Does next to nothing in big games.

He played better than he usually does in Europe, was more composed in possession tonight, but I don't rate him that highly, decent squad player, good player to have on the bench as depth, not a consistent starter for me though. It seems like Ange is starting him every week because he's the main set piece taker but even then he's so inconsistent at those that his position in the team isn't even worth it.

Until he fluffed another glorious goal scoring opportunity I actually forgot he was on the park.
