Outstanding man, hungry and the way he controls the baw with both feet is unreal.

Reminds me of veira at arsenal, I know that's a big statement and he has a long way to go but he just reminds me of him at times

His quality on the ball has never been in doubt. The question marks have been on his mobility and off the ball work rate but we are having so much of the ball right now it doesn't seem to matter. Same for Rogic.

Ad love to watch shooting practice at lennoxtown.

I would even be the ball bhoy when it comes to Christie’s turn.

Probably his quietest game in a Celtic shirt. Barely involved.

Looked tired, game passed him by.

Tonight needed a McCarthy or even Soro sitting. We need another CM option, someone with similar energy levels to McGregor.

When teams press against us it makes him redundant.

Tonight wasn’t a good game but not was it for others.

Yep definitely, but still question marks over him long term. Contract wise.

I would like a big, powerful runner in there with a bit of defensive nous. McGregor was left all alone tonight.

And just like magic…. When we don’t have the ball and the other team has players of good technical ability Rogic and Turnbull look utter mince. Game passed them by. They lack the physicality to press when we need them to, so always appear 3 yards behind.
Speed, energy and work rate are 3 things not associated with either of our playmakers and it showed badly tonight.

He didn’t like being pressed as intensely as he was. Arguably the highest level of opposition he’s ever come up against in such a high pressure match.

Still young, still developing and will take plenty from tonight.

    Agree.

I suspect their tactics of bypassing our midfield played a part too.

A guy like Ledley, composed on the ball, clever defensively, fit and plays 90 minutes week in week out, can head a ball and a threat from set pieces would be ideal.

If we had a proper defensive midfielder as well we could play him with McGregor and Christie in those areas, two guys with energy, much more pace and still as good arguably even more of an attacking threat.

There was one point he clocked Edouard
In space and was about to play a ball but Christie pinched it haha

I would agree here. He looks a superstar v St Mirren's but against a team that plays at our pace he struggles. Really needs to work on his athleticism. It's 100% the area he needs to improve the most. Fitness and work rate off the ball. Agree again that this applies to Rogic also.

Guys like Rogic and Turnbull will never be the types that are able to sprint back and make tackles like Christie and McGregor do. Even when they're grafting and it might not look like it but they are grafting it doesn't come naturally to them and never will. You'll see them working back and in positions but stand watching things happen. Every team at every level and every age group has players like that. Good going forward but a fish out of water doing any tackling or defensive duties.

In games like AZ play one of them, let them concentrate on what they are good at and have two sitters like McGregor and Soro.
