I don't know how I feel TBH, Soro as we know is still got a bit to go to be a regular and McCarthy brings much needed experience and dig and hopefully it allows more freedom for McGregor in particular but I'm a bit worried with his past injury problems but he's definitely the type I was thinking about.

Yes if he can avoid injury he has got to go down as a very good signing.

Been off it since the start of the season, but we know he’s a quality player and a young guy.

The concerns re fitting the profile of a player that suits the system are more than reasonable - big few months coming up for him, for has surely earned a bit of time!!

I don’t think he’s a high energy closing down RCM. I think you’ll see Soro ending up there this season and Turnbull coming on from the bench.

Are we seeing the infamous "2nd season syndrome" kicking in with Turnbull?

Was out POTY last season ,despite only really playing since around December time, but his performances (so far) this season have been shocking.

It's testamanent to Christie's efforts that I genuinely believe he should be starting ahead of Turnbull right now...

I wouldn’t be surprised- but also hope more that in 2 months we are all seeing the player we know is there. It’s a few weeks in to the season - he’s struggling for sure, but a bit of time and patience needed.

Been slow on and off the ball..

No doubt he'll come good but he's visibly off it. Never really looks like scoring or assisting. Gets robbed in possession a lot. Can't really press..

Christie should be in just now ahead of him but he'll be back..

I'd actually like a more mobile 10 type in to compete with him. Get rid of Rogic..

Definitely mate, he’s not played that role before and it takes out his best qualities I think but there’s no doubt that he can adapt to it I think.

Especially on a bigger pitch like Parkhead.

We won’t be playing a 10 this year though, doesn’t seem that way at all.

    Hes still a young guy.

Not going to overreact. Again, I've said in here, he's least of our worries.

HOWEVER I do think we could do with another number 10, a more mobile one. Not Rogic.

He’s going to have a stormer of a season, particularly with better players such as McCarthy beside him.

Just going to take a bit of time for the fitness and shape work to start coming to fruition on the park.

Aye well the more forward of the 3, which Turnbull or Christie will be..

I'd still like another in, more mobile, which will help massively being in a 3, instead of an out and out 10..

100%. That looks pretty clearly like the plan.

And one that I’m right behind. McGregor running from deep is unstoppable for me, he has the fitness, clever play and the finishing touch to do it.

Last time he was allowed that freedom was with Lenny in the 9 in a row season and scored 14 goals.

    I dunno about that..

He slots in to that left back position when Taylor has been coming in to central midfield. Gets forward but he hasn't got that license of a Turnbull..

I think Soro will come out for McCarthy and him and McGregor will screen for both fullbacks, with McGregor getting forward a bit more....and Turnbull/Christie being the one's who are further up..

Think that’s what Turnbull is supposed to be doing as well, he’s just nowhere near as good at it. Doesn’t have the engine for it.

Agreed - plus has the rare capacity to score from a decent range, and finds a bit of time well.

If im honest, I’ve screamed about him not being utilised properly for long enough so it’s good to perhaps see his strengths used properly.

Aye, last year I think we expected him to do everything and that’s why he ended up doing nothing.
    Defo Tony Ralston :fear:

That’s going to be McGregor’s for me as well.
