Love that tweet. Need players at the club who are buzzing to be here and realise the size of the opportunity they have to become a legend this season.

He's a superb young player and one we would have massively regretted if we let slip from our hands.

Athletic, composed, bit of dig, can score, can tackle. He may not have the immediate class of Ntcham - if he is who he has been brought in to replace - but he will be a more productive and consistent player for us, I believe.

Aye, he's arrived with a bit of a black cloud over the club but that's not the boys fault. He's wanted this for a long time and he'll be desperate to get in about it.

Hope he succeeds here and happy it happened for him after last year. Only question is how long will he need to get match fit as he has only played all 5 last league games?

The timing matters not one jot, we were unlikely to announce the signing in the build up to a CL qualifier, makes sense he’s announced today..

    Excited about his one..

Looking forward to seeing him in a Celtic side, a standout in a Motherwell strip bodes well and a lot of people have huge hopes for him for the future.

Also another goal scoring midfielder, never a bad thing.

CELTIC welcomed David Turnbull on a four-year deal from Motherwell this afternoon (Thursday), and the midfielder can’t wait to get started at the biggest team in the country.

Turnbull was, of course, poised to join the club last summer, but a knee operation ruled out the move and saw him feature just twice for the Steelmen during the 2019/20 campaign as a result.

Now, the 21-year-old wants to do everything he can to help the Hoops win silverware in what is an important season ahead.

“I’m absolutely delighted to join Celtic, especially after everything that’s went on over the last year,” said Turnbull in an exclusive interview with the official Celtic website. “To join the biggest club in Scotland, I’m just delighted! Looking back, the injury was the worst time of my life, really.

“It was so hard to take, but I knew that if I worked hard, kept my head down, the chance could come around again, so long as I stuck to it. Now, I can’t wait to get started!”

During the 2018/19 campaign, Turnbull made 34 appearances for Motherwell, scoring 16 goals and assisting seven times for his team-mates – numbers which he hopes to replicate at Paradise. The midfielder hailed the high standards Celtic have set in recent years, and promises to do everything he can to add to their success from here on.

He added: “The success of Celtic in recent seasons has been incredible. They’ve been so consistent as well, which is the root of their success. As soon as I’m required, I’m ready! As I say, I’ve played in the first five games of the season, I’ve managed to get a goal, I feel really fit and I’m just raring to go and make my mark here at Celtic.

“It’d be brilliant to win silverware this season at Celtic. I obviously grew up playing with Motherwell, and while we were involved in cup finals, there was maybe less of an expectation to get there. It’s the opposite at Celtic, so to be involved in big games, tournaments and cups would be an honour for me and my family. I can’t wait to do whatever I can to help Celtic win more trophies in this important season ahead.”

Welcome to Celtic, don't expect to see you for a few weeks tho as Lenny will deem you "not match fit".

He's not celtic "match fit", probably won't see him for weeks yet

Meaning Lennon would rathe have Christie and Ntcham choke our midfield
