Think he takes a while to get back from injuries, seems to have fully returned last game of the season. Double figures for him now this year? Another we’ll see the best of next season…

He's been good to watch today and the goal was delightful.

That was the best I've seen from him in a long time, was everywhere and what a fantastic goal.

I think, back in January/February, I said it would be hard for him to get back into the team, and even said I wouldn't be adverse to selling him, but with Rogic gone he now has every chance to win back his spot. It'll still be tough, but having such competition is great.

Yesterday must have felt like a massive achievement for DT given what he had to come back from.

Has shown himself to be a dangerous, talented player.

Hopefully next season he can take his game to the next level. Could be a lampard type player for us.

With Rogic going I wouldn’t be surprised to see him used as the most advanced of our midfield, possibly rotate with O’Riley for that spot unless someone new comes in.

He has quality on the ball and carries a goal threat but not convinced he has the engine for the deeper box to box role particularly in big games against stronger opposition.

Again, said it before, feel like some fans are so incredibly harsh on him.

22 years old. Very gifted player and Scottish. Should be celebrating him a bit more. Never loses the ball, creates chances and can score goals. Pace isn't everything. Could easily play a Toni Kroos type role for us in games, ok maybe not against THE very best in Europe we will need other options.

    Showed some lovely touches yesterday.

    Played well.

With Rogic away he needs to kick on next season, although I still reckon Ange might bring in another attacking midfielder.

He was class yesterday. Best he had played for a while and I'm including pre injury.

He was off the boil before that but tbh he had no competition for his spot

Also need to remember as a 21 year old in his debut season for us, coming back from a horrendous injury and playing in the worst celtic side I've seen, he was a standout and it would have been worse under Lennon were it not for him.

Feel like I'm proper sooking his backside but I've always been a fan. Think there's levels to come from him and I think Ange knows that.

Aye, seen a lot of people saying they don't know where he fits in at Celtic any more because of the way we play...

Scored or assisted a goal every 180 minutes this season.

He clearly has a place at Celtic Park.

Was watching some older highlights of this season, and Turnbull had some excellent, and I mean excellent, goals and assists early on.

Easy to forget how good he is on his game, he either played the majority of this season alongside Rogic and McGregor, which never worked, or was injured. With Rogic gone now he has a real opportunity to make that other midfield spot his own.

Apparently he led the team in key passes as well. Which is very impressive considering the creativity we have in the team.

He’s an underrated player because people think he’s too slow. Personally think he’s a great player.

I do worry if he has the physicality for the elite level, but he has so many good qualities and time still to improve.

Very happy to have him in the squad.

He isn't too slow, but he is slow. In itself that's not a deal breaker, but if he's teamed up in midfield with someone like Rogic our press them high strategy collapses and we can get overrun, or completely bypassed, in midfield. It's fine going forward but offers no protection to the defense.

If, as many of us hope, we get a new pacey DM it's them, McGregor and one of Turnbull, O'Riley, Hatate, or Ideguchi. I'm hoping Turnbull and O'Riley can work on their speed over the summer, as if they could add that to their game they could both be really excellent and give us more options for midfield partnerships to rotate with. At the moment I wouldn't want to see them both in a high intensity CL game, for example, as that would be a recipe for disaster defensively. But if they had a bit more pace...? They could be a really good option.

A new pacey physical DM with Turnbull and McGregor would be enough in Europe. Turnbull’s creativity will be needed to unlock top defences. I would definitely like to see Turnbull’s defensive stats before he got injured, I’m not sure he gets enough plaudits for his defensive work.

The only problem I see with getting a new DM is we then need to teach them what McGregor’s job has been, feels like we start behind the 8 ball again.

I disagree, mate. Unless Turnbull improves his fitness dramatically he doesn't have the engine to provide defensive cover in Ange's system, against elite level opposition anyway. We saw against Leverkusen how quickly these teams can break on you and if the two 8s aren't quick enough to track back it leaves glaring holes.
