Doesn’t matter what it ends up being now, we CANNOT lose this guy to * Barnsley if it’s someone that Lenny has intimated he wants.

It’ll end up around the 3 million figure. I can’t say I know he’s worth it or not but his figures are extremely impressive for a rookie kid.

John McGinn all over again. Just pay the money and get him in. Wouldn’t be surprised if we bid £1.5m next time round.

You might not have to imagine if they * around on this....

Not sure myself if he’d do well for us.. but if they mess around like the McGinn fiasco it just gives other clubs time to swing it with big wage offers.

Jeezuz ... we even have Sevco trying to beat us to players by the sounds of it..

I wonder if Lawwell pays himself extra for being director of football ?!?

The difference between this boy and John McGinn is that McGinn was playing at a good level for a few seasons. Turnbull has only been playing consistently over the last 6 months so I think anywhere around 3 million is excessive and premature.

If we were to offer more money for Turnbull than we did for McGinn then that would be borderline ridiculous, for me.

I understand your apprehension, but another way to look at it is that Turnbull is much more impressive at 19 years old than McGinn was.

People need to chill out. These things the time.

We don't have 10s of millions of £s in the bank that we can access immediately..

Mcginn has showed he is worth more than £2.5 million he went for. Turnbull scored 15 goals in 30 games from midfield, the English Market has skewed prices so £2.5/3m is risk free punt for them. Put it this way, if we don't pay it someone else will.

If the player can realistically improve the first team, only then should we submit a bid. Ewan Henderson is one of our own.
