My theory is that Peter Lawell has seen an Opportunity to promote Celtic as a brand in Australia by bringing in their world cup winger.

Rodgers wants Roberts. Lawell and the self servative shareholders smell an opportunity to bring in a world cup star for £200, a packet of crisps and 1 calibre lighter while pocketing the champions league millions for redecorating their 2nd homes. Rodgers has been overrulled.This is one of those signings that could come back and bite their penny pinching greed on their *, Rodgers may one day say, I wanted Roberts, the board gave me Arzani. I'm walking away. Boo. Pay for Roberts.

Arzani will not be playing every game ,roberts is cl quality ,but then we have micky and Lewis Morgan so it doesn't quite add up ,throw christie in as well .

 

Arzani is a right-footed left winger; Roberts is a left-footed right winger.

 

Arzani played Red wing each time I seen him play in the wc? If he is what you say a left winger then that will be a bonus as scotty has been found out more so than not

 

For his club hes pretty much played half his games at left wing and half his games at right wing going by transfermrkt

 

Well that is an added bonus as I had him down as solely a right winger mate

 

If he plays more than 10 games this season I’ll be surprised. Could be great, could be another in a long line of unfulfilled talents. Either way, it makes a quick buck for Man City.

He'll probably need a couple of months training with us to get to the fitness level required of our players though. The Australian League is really low quality even compared to Scotland I imagine so the players there won't be the fittest. Look at Big Tam when he first arrived he was in dreadful condition, moved in slow motion and looked as stiff as Majstorovic or Jos Hooiveld and he was an attacking midfielder.

 

I think Arzani and maybe a late signing on the deadline day

If he signs then we’ll have 6 wingers, imagine Hayes and Christie would be gone or away on loan, maybe both to The sheep.

Sinclair has been struggling for form and if we play 3 at the back KT will play left wing majority of the time. So that means Johnston and Morgan will be struggling for game time that they need to develop. Interested to see how this works out.
