    Had some preseason.

    Thought he was excellent again today. Unreal on the ball and composed as *.
    Would have no problem playing him on Tuesday.

    Still canny believe he’s Scottish.

    Worked with his uncle and grandad family are from the dark side so is he I asked them he ever thought about rangers .... seemingly he loves it at Celtic better set up and see himself as one of us now

    Does look quality..

    Really tall. Must be about 6'3-6'4?

    Passing is good. Looks quite mobile. Reads the game fairly well..

    Unlucky no to score yesterday..

    As mentioned above, this looks like our best crop of centre halves in a long time out of the academy. When you think Liam Morrison was in the same batch at 18, we must be doing something right there..

    He was a midfielder when he was younger.

    Scotland has a good batch at that age group. Scary thinking about it really when you think of the problems we’ve had with centre halves.

    Doesn't look a centre mid to me though. Very much a centre back..

    Looking at how comfortable and good on the ball he is I think it’s obvious he played midfield :giggle1:

    Someone posted Soucek’s stats from last season and they’re absolutely mental.

    He does virtually nothing in the middle third but is absolutely elite in both penalty boxes :rofl:

    Being fair given we have McGregor, Turnbull and Soro as options to cover the middle third a midfielder who was elite in both boxes wouldn’t be a bad thing for us even if he keeps it simple in the middle third.

    It would certainly help at set plays, I was kind of hoping Shaw might be that.

    On Murray I missed the game yesterday but have been impressed with him in the others, how’d he do? I would be tempted to play him or Hjelde ahead of Welsh, who I think is a pretty average player and a bit lacking physically for a CB.

    I know we can’t buy him but one of the original points was Murray seemed too tall to be a CM (built like Soucek) and I was saying buying a CM who plays like that wouldn’t be the worst thing for us. I know we can’t get Soucek himself.
