Well earned. Can't believe somebody won an award for designing it back in the day. Be demolished soon anyway. Supposedly.

Am not doubting local teams would descend on the Fells come the summer but you stated the “teegay” ran every scheme in glesga out? That’s just nonsense talk. Growing up in G22 I would highly disagree.

Don’t get me wrong it is a depressing wee shitehole, there can be no denying that that’s for sure :giggle1: but this pish about the accent and kidding on we’re Glaswegian is mental. :56:

I’ve heard stories of their Da’s and uncles - the generation I hung about with were all just bullies not hard men.

Aye there’s the odd few, usually it’s the ones that’s parents lived here when condorrat was just a wee village before everyone moved out fae Glasgow. Can normally spot them from the way they talk, they never use plurals, they always say like things like 5 minute instead of minutes.:giggle1:

Hahaha aye I'd agree there, I never noticed any weird accents or anything.

I'm not high and mighty about areas, I'm from a shitehole scheme as well but aye Cumbernauld is just one of those places.

I don’t get how anyone who’s ever been to Cumbernauld for even 5 minutes could say we have a funny accent :giggle1: it’s as Glaswegian as you’ll get and there’s a reason for that, as Everycunts maw n das originally fae Glesga. :giggle1:

Nah, it is being demolished. Will take them about 5 year to get rid of the asbestos though before they even get started. Plans are out for it.

Knocking down the old town centre, fleming house, the tryst and the bowling club I think.

Don't know much about Cumbernauld.I'm from Greenock originally and have spent time in Falkirk and Stirling...where there's an obvious difference.

Greenockian is basically the same as Weegie - anyone from Greenock could tell the difference...certain words get pronounced differently and it's a bit of a giveaway.."staines" or "bowtle" etc..

Would you say Cumbernauld's worse than Barrhead?
