    We let Gordon go at the right time, he lost his spot to Bain who is bang average and hadn't shown anything prior that would give argument he should be first choice.

    That was the Craig Gordon we all (most of us) knew and hated. A couple of decent saves mixed in with some shocking kicking and a total howler.

    Thankfully now we have a proper number 1 the clamour for him seems to have died down and he showed us all on Sunday why we did the right thing letting him go.

    The 3rd goal just sums Gordon up. Kick out straight to one of us then getting beat at his near post:56:

    I just don't get the lovin some of our fans have for this guy. I have never seen Gordon be so vocal & agitated in any of the games he played for us as he has been in the last 3 games against us. The coming out & being total raging at Kyogo was just laughable, guy is a total *.

    Full disclosure - I was one of those who defended Craig Gordon in the past. He was an excellent goalkeeper, but was definitely prone to the occasional brainfart.

    Excusable though as he did MUCH more good than bad.

    The main weakness in his game was with the ball at his feet - he was awful when it was played back to him.

    He’d be a disaster playing in our current set up.

    PS - folks going on about the goal that went through his hands… woopeedoo… * happens. He otherwise single-handedly stopped it being a cricket score against his team!
