The amount of revisionism surrounding him is unreal we never let him go we offered him a deal on reduced terms as he was going to be backup he knocked it back to sign for Hearts he was also * in his last few months for us just see Salzburg

 

To remind folk: our best manager of this century, potentially, dropped him for Bain in his last season.

Do not revise over him regardless of what those commentators suggests..

He was all over the shop in that final season he started with us..

Plus he’s a * and I will always be thankful of Eddie taking the * straight clean out of him for a quadruple treble..

 

Aye, 80% reduced wage, lol. Sure everybody would be happy with that one.

Never saw the end, so not sure what he did, but you'd have to be really 'Celtic scout level' thick to think he wasn't a decent keeper and ultimately better than what we have.

He's gone, so end of, but it was a mistake.

And anyone thinking gk is the problem needs to take a hard look at themselves, the club off and on the field is a problem, mostly off.

We’re in some * nick that folk are crying over Craig Gordon

 

Yeah because he wasn't going to be our number 1 anymore was it not rumoured he accepted the same wage at hearts as what we offered him. The only reason it keeps getting mentioned is because of his pals in the media and I'm sure at the time the majority of us weren't to upset as he had been * for a while

 

The guy is crap, he was so bad here that he’d fell behind bain, both saves last night are saves any keeper should make ( I know ours wouldn’t), personally I thought Forrest’s was an abysmal miss rather than a great save and the second was a save that should be made from that distance. Both have been overhyped due to the fact we let him go. Our mistake wasn’t letting him go it was signing a diddy instead of a cheaper better alternative option that a few at the club including our Keeper coach wanted in last summer

 

Forrest hit it right off him, again no * left foot on him.

 

He's not solid at all. He cost us hugely numerous times.

Just because we have failed to replace him well enough doesn't deem him good enough.

It's like keeping Ralston on as we may get an even worse right back.

There was nothing solid about him in his latter time here, in football or his marriage..

 

No doubt that releasing him was the right move. But it just sums up the state of our club that we then replaced him with a worse keeper and lost £5m in the process.

 

The same media now clamouring for Gordon and how wrong Celtic were to let him go are the same media now asking how Celtic are in such a bad state but were vilifying the support for daring to criticise the way the club was being run.

 

Fraser Forster was the upgrade we needed. Won us a trophy single-handedly. Probably the most influential player in the Quad Treble and yet technically didn't win it.

I'd love to have him back. Would genuinely break the bank for him.

But Gordon is a better keeper than Bain and Barkas. Whatever about his faults, he does make match-changing saves. It was right he was no longer our number 1 but he'd be a more reliable number 2 than any of the * we currently have. This is all relative.

 

Shouldn’t be surprised but it’s laughable how quiet the ‘Celtic should never have leg Gordon go’ mob have been since the weekend.

Never completed a pass in open play. Everytime he received the ball he gave it right back to us.

Absolutely laughable at the third goal from his attempted to clear it to somehow letting it by him.
