Did lots of charity work for Celtic, did the sleep out a couple of times, went to Kenya with the Celtic foundation. He also used to stay behind after games and kick a ball about with the kids. Gordon probably thinks he’s better than he is but so do lots of players, he was part of a treble treble and the footage of his celebration on his knees when rogic scored the winner in the final will live long in the memory.

Talks about hoping he made his family proud...... Aye I'm sure there all so pleased you cheated on their maw with that daft bird off the tele.
Like his many post match interviews after making an * of it, he once again shows he has zero self awareness of his mistakes

Thanks Gordon, great cheap signing, although past his very best he was a good shot stopper, if he was offered an 80% pay cut why did they bother, no player would accept that, it was like lawwell was making a point to the rest of the squad, *

We offered him 3rd choice keeper wages as he’d now be 3rd choice.

You can pretty much guarantee that he was offered more than he’d get from any other Scottish club regardless.

Ach , his demeanour never endeared him but would be churlish to deny at times he did a good job for us.

KRIS COMMONS has accused Celtic of being cheapskates for failing to agree a new deal with Craig Gordon.

Invincible goalie Gordon, 37, announced his Parkhead exit last night with a move to Hearts now likely.

The Scotland keeper was open to staying at the Hoops but refused to accept the vastly reduced pay packet on offer.

SunSport understands the champions are working on a deal to re-sign Fraser Forster on a permanent deal, with Scott Bain also on the books.

But Commons fears Neil Lennon has made a big blunder letting experienced Gordon go as Chelsea consider a move for Southampton shotstopper Forster.

He told the Daily Mail: "Celtic have made a major mistake in effectively forcing Craig Gordon out of the club.

And, even if they now pull off a master stroke by landing Fraser Forster, they could pay a heavy price for this disastrous misjudgment.

"Would you put your hat on Scott Bain helping Celtic to ten in a row? Because it may come to that.

I believe they're getting close to signing Forster. But they should have made a bigger effort to hold on to Gordon.

"I was really angered by Gordon being offered reduced terms. He's 37, not 45, and he's been one of the best if not the best — goalkeepers in Scotland over the past decade.

If Celtic had been definitively ruled out of the running for Forster, I wouldn't have had any hesitation in handing him the No 1 jersey.

"He clearly feels he needs first-team football to reclaim his Scotland place and, if Forster is coming back, he won't get much of that at Celtic Park.

But what happens if, over the coming days, Celtic lose out on their No 1 target? If it's about money, Chelsea can offer Forster four times the wages available at Scotland's richest club.

"Gordon's departure now makes it more important than ever that Celtic push the boat out to get Forster back.

"For me, it's just typical Celtic. They've always had this knack of trying to get players as cheap as possible, without bursting the bank.

"When you're on the verge of ten in a row, you have to go that extra yard."
